For our first pregnancy, we went straight to IVF due to a variety of reasons. Now, given that we have 2, we don't want to do IVF again knowing this is our last pregnancy and we don't want to chance having extra embryos.
DH was just tested again. His motility is at 40% but his morphology is at 1. My OB said he has done IUIs with a level 1 before and that after a sperm wash, the level might actually be closer to 2 or 3 (I think it is out of 6...the paperwork is in the kitchen!).
So, any success stories out there with morphology issues? I'm not too concerned with motility on the IUI since they won't have to swim very far!
Thanks!!
Re: IUI ?
no experience with male factor... but just curious if you were planning to take clomid or other meds - or just do the IUI with your regular cycle?
We got DS1 with one follie on our first cycle (clomid/IUI)... and got the twins on our 2nd cycle of the same, with 2 follies.
Just beware that any follies you have could = babies, as you know, in case you are against having multiples again
my husband has "1%" morph, and has gotten me pregnant SEVERAL times via TI, IUI and IVF/ICSI. I believe his post-wash (IUI prep) was typically about 20-40million, Grade A, good motility and average volume.
If morph is your main issue, I'd say it's MORE than worth a try. I just had a lot of my own issues that made the majority of our pregnancies fail a week after they started.

My OB said he would do the IUI with Clomid. I was on it before, but just with TI. I responded well so hopefully, 4 years later, I will still respond positively.
