Early BLW "bits" and CDs

Sorry for a gross topic...

We are in early stages of BLW, where you can definitely recognize what little bits of food she swallowed the night before in her next morning's poopy diaper. However, the poo is still really runny BF poo, so it's not like I can "flip" anything into the toilet. Should I spray those diapers off first, or can they still go straight into the washer?

It probably should be sprayed, but I don't. So far I haven't seen anything left in the washer machine. LO is 9 months and she's just getting to the point where I think they need to be sprayed or scraped. Currently, I keep a little spatula to scrape off any particularly large "lumps."
