It's ndkluvsrk's birthday today!

AND we're driving my MIL to the airport in an hour! This trip has been a really good one. She's only irritated me a small handful of times. This is HUGE progress from the old days when I'd literally cry every single day of her visits. I will actually miss her when she goes, but I am ready to have my house back.

I COOKED A BABY!

I mean, I made it to 36 weeks! I am 3.5 cm dilated and feel great! (knock on wood). All that business with a short cervix and sterpoid shots in November had me worried. But we did it! Penelope can come at anytime and we are ready. Sort of.

Also, still beaming from the most amazing baby shower yesterday. Big Smile

ETA: I went to the freeser at work to get ice and saw I still have a Drumstick ice cream in there from last week. PREGGO SCORE!

naptime is approaching?

I am in the foulest of foul moods. DH left last night for Houston and I worked until midnight. The storm woke me up, which was cool at the time, not so cool when Tommy woke up at 5. Running on less than 4 hours of sleep = cranky mcurban.

My house is STILL clean! We had an awesome birthday party of Molly on Saturday and book club is tomorrow. My hope is to get through tomorrow so that book club peeps won't be all "Oh mag gawd! AJL is such a slob."

At the risk of jinxing it, ever since we eloped my mom has been shockingly... momlike. So much so that she is even coming down to visit me this weekend! This is shocking for several reasons the biggest two being 1. she has never come to just visit me. Like just a 'I'm coming down to visit you for not other reason than to just visit with you' type trip. Whaaa???? And 2. I'm actually really looking foward to it. Yes, I know I'm totally crazy and probably setting myself up for a let down, but I really am excited and hopeful. We'll see.

I'm way behind on finding a flower girl dress for DD for a wedding in late February. However, Nordstrom to the rescue as always, they have exactly what we need and for a reasonable price!

My good news for the day: DD napped for 2.5 hours! Woohoo! I was dying last week because she napped maybe 45 minutes - 1 hour every day and was Cranky McCrankerson and I was exhausted.

Congratulations! I thought about you when we were at our old neighbor's house for NYE. Did you end up in that subdivision?

My good news: the big annual HOA meeting is tonight and, even though I'm dreading it, it will be nice to have it behind me.

And tomorrow is book club!

That's all I got- my grumpy DH went to work for 48 hours this morning. Bummer.

And I was thinking about you today and wishing your MIL a safe trip back home!

Our good news is that we transitioned the boys into sharing a room together this week-end and they actually slept last night after no naps for 2 straight days and giggling into the night on Saturday.

And surprisingly, they told us all about the storms this morning when they woke up but didn't make a single peep last night! I was stunned! So yeah, it's a very happy Monday for me! :-)
