Two Under 2

smaller infant carseat

I have been researching smaller infant carseats. We have a safety 1st from DS #1 and lets just say it is HUGE! And since I have a small car, Ford focus, we need a smaller one to fit two carseats in my car. I have been.looking at the Combi and wanted thoughts? It is about 25 3/4 lenght with base.

And from there the next smaller one from What I have seen is chicco. But I think it will be to big.

So any recommendations would be great!?!?!?

Re: smaller infant carseat

  • We have a combi infant seat and it works great (we do have a van though, so any seat would really work) but I think carrying it around is just a little bit easier than the other brands (we had a peg perego for my older children but it expired, so we got a combi for LO).  We also have the combi cocoro seats for the girls, they fit well in to smaller cars as well.  DD1 s 3 and still uses hers.

  • Infant seat or convertible seat?

I have the basic Chicco Keyfit 22 and it's pretty compact. I've fit it in the back of some smaller 4-door sedans just fine. It goes up to 22lbs. too and neither of my kids were the big at a year so we never had an issue with them outgrowing it super fast.

  • we have the graco one but the smaller one not the graco 32 and it fits in small cars. we actually had a ford focus for a rental car when we got into a car accident a while back, and i drove DS around in it fine.
