What is the difference - aside from the obvious one? My friend gave us 5 new Dr Brown's bottles that are Wide Neck (we have been using Standard) and I tried one out. DS didn't seem to mind the difference so I plan to use them as well.
Wide is supposed to be better for breast fed babies.
I've heard this as well. I primarily breastfeed but do give DD BM in a bottle when we go out and I haven't had any issues with Standard Dr. Browns bottles. She prefers them to the Breastflow (wide neck) bottles that we have tried as well.
For us the difference was that DD could not drink from the wide neck bottles they just seemed way too big for her mouth or something and she would leak everywhere.
