Fun things to do in Charlotte Area?

We just moved from IL to Charlotte in Dec.  We're not used to being able to play outside in Jan.  :-)  What are some fun things to do around here for 18 month olds? TIA!

    Here are a few fun activities in the Charlotte area:

    There is a starving artist show today at the hilton (google it).

    YMCA

    Mommy and Me classes

    The museums uptown, last week we visited the Mint Museum.

    We live in Raleigh but took a trip to Charlotte recently. We played at Freedom Park & had a great time. The park was nice, there is a big train for the kids to play on, a lake (river?) and walking trails. DS loved it.
