Rugs?

Where did you get your nursery rug? I've been looking for a 6x9 area rug, and I can't find anything I like. I've looked at Pier One, Land of Nod, Crate and Barrel, Lowe's, Walmart, and Etsy. I don't want to spend more than $400. Any ideas?

We did, too - although ours is 4'x4'. There are options at Ikea and they're pretty inexpensive.

We got ours at Pottery Barn, but I wouldn't recommend it! Our rug has been shedding for over 2 years now. We finally just got rid of it and I'm shopping for another one. To be fair, we have a PB rug in our living room that has been great, no shedding.

Ours is 6x6 from Ikea for $149. It's cream with a blue circle/swirl design....I think it's called EIKVOR.

I previously purchased a rug from www.rugsdirect.com for our livingroom and was very pleased with the selection, delivery, and price when I compared the same rug to department store sale prices. So I plan to go that same route again. It has a great search feature and tons of inventory for children's rooms.

Believe it or not I got ours from PBteen online....sometime thinking outside of the "nursery" world helps, also try PBkids.

We got this round pink rug from Overstock and really like it. It did shed quite a bit at first, but now it's fine. Overstock seems to have some good, inexpensive options. Good luck!

Have you considered special ordering it from a carpet store? We could not find one that we liked at any of the chain stores - either the color, size or price was not right. We special ordered an area rug at a local carpet place and were able to pick the exact color, size and texture we wanted and it only came to $200 with the binding cost & under pad!

I got mine at Home Goods. I really wanted a yellow rug, and they're not so easy to find. I got a 3x5 one that's SO soft for $48. It was originally $60, but I got a discount because there were some superficial dirt prints on it. They came right off with a little soap and water.
