Double Stroller?

I'm debating if we need one and could use some input. DD is 2.5yrs old right now and honestly doesn't sit in a stroller long-she mainly goes in one when I go to the doctors. But when we took her for walks over the summer she would stay in maybe 5min. If we did get one, I'd probably go with a sit and stand type just because I don't see her sitting very long. By the time the summer comes around, she'll be almost 3 and baby will be close to 6mos old. Thoughts?

    DD would prefer to walk/run around herself.  We got one because I am going to need her to be strapped in.  She doesn't listen well and runs away, so I can't trust her.  We do go to busier places like Seabreeze a lot and plan to continue that this summer, so I think it will be invaluable this summer for us.  I'm not sure if we will need it the following summer or not.

    We didn't get one. If we go somewhere that we need Gavin in a stroller, I wear Riley. But he was older when the baby was born. If you plan to wear the baby, I think it's doable without. Otherwise, I'd get one.

    DD is 27 months, and we bought one. Like JnK said, I don't trust her to listen and not run away in busy places. I like the peace of mind that she is safe, whether she is happy about it or not. :-) Also, if we go to the zoo or a longer day trip, it will be nice for her to have a place to relax, and recline if she gets tired.

    honestly I can't live without my double stroller.. but this seems to be a difference of opinion/kids/parenting styles..

    I am SO glad that we have one and we use it all of the time.  I bought a used one, and that has worked well for us.  E never liked the single stroller, but he loves riding in the double stroller.

    We didn't buy one when I had Paul. I wore him most of the time & Charlie rarely rode in the stroller.

    This time around I think I need to get one (haven't yet though!). But then again I plan on wearing the baby a lot, especially in the beginning, so Paul can use the stroller and Charlie never uses one anymore. I may wait a few months until it is warmer out & reassess then.
