#2 waking #1

I'm expecting DS2 in May, right around DS1's birthday. The baby will be in our room for the first couple of months, but afterwards they will be in adjacent rooms.

Should I worry about #2 waking #1 when he moves into his room? Or will #1 just deal with it (he's not the best sleeper...)? Both will probably have noise machines, but the walls are not as insulated as I would like. Is it worth it to rip off the plaster and put insulation in?

In other words, would this be a big enough problem that we should do this construction before moving DS1 into his new room?

Each of my boys have white noise machines and they can't hear anything with those on.

Mine will be sharing a room ... I'm wondering how that's going to go.

Luckily DD seems to be able to sleep through a truck driving through her room (like her mama), but we'll see.

DS was a terrible sleeper when he was younger, so I was really worried about this. Amazingly, he never wakes up when she cries. Ever. And she's got a cry like a banshee.
