I started having a lot of cramps and pain last night but it wouldn't go away. Then I started having contractions but they weren't getting closer together or more intense. Woke up at 3:30 feeling very nauseous and started having more contractions. They hurt more but were still sporatic. Threw up at 4:30 but was able to lay back down at 5:30 and sleep till 8. I feel like crap and crampy but no timeable contractions right now. I am miserable. I just wish my water would break if this was it so I could know for sure and get on with the program. I was induced with my other kids so I am not educated in what my body does in early labor. I feel very confused!

I could've written this. We even went in to L&D last night b/c I was so uncomfortable and figured with everything I was feeling I had to be dilated some and possibly in labor. But alas I was sent home (but not after they scared me saying they might induce me first). I'd rather be home than be induced but the early labor thing is confusing to me as well.... I just need my water to break so I will know for sure.
We even got the house perfectly clean before leaving last night....so that must've been a sign that it wasn't true labor!
This to the nth degree!
Good luck Robin!
I was having intense contractions last night for hours, but never timed them...woke up sick three times, had diarrhea this morning and have a monstrous headache...but nothing. The contractions seem to have stopped and I'm left just feeling wiped out and like crap. Hoping today takes a turn for both of us and we can be done with this roller coaster! Like you, I have no idea what to expect from my body should it decide to go into labor - I had HELLP with my first and wound up with an emergency section, so it's all still new to me!
GOOD LUCK!!!!

Good luck! I had that tummy bug (threw up 10x in one night) and started having timetable contractions. The doctor on call told me to wait if out and try to hydrate. Sure enough, the contractions subsided. I hope yours is real and not the flu!
