Austin Babies

Sorry I keep asking... (kinda update) (update again)

Put could I please have some sticky baby dust?  For the last two days I have had some cramping that feels stronger than usual and I just had some light pink spotting.  This is the first time I have had spotting this whole time and I am now officially freaking out!  I called Labor and Delivery nurse and she just said to keep an eye on it and make sure nothing starts to gush.  This is my first pregnancy and I have been worried sick!  Any dust would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much.

Please keep the dust coming, the spotting has not gotten heavier, but it is a dark red now.  I called again just to make sure and they just said as long as the pain isn't so bad that I feel I need meds. or that I'm soaking a pad in an hour to just relax and put my feet up.

She also said that at 6 weeks it could be implantation spotting.  Has anyone had spotting go from light pink to red and end up with everything ok?

Thanks ladies!

Update:  I just got back from the ER, I didn't have a "gush" of blood like I was told to wait for, I still haven't gone through a pad in an hour, and while I am in pain, it's not a pain that I have never felt before.  But I am having a miscarriage.  They did an ultrasound and couldn't find anything and said my hCG levels were too low.  I go to my regular doctor on Monday for a follow up.  I could just tell right from the first time I started spotting today that something wasn't right.

Thank you for your thoughts ladies, you were very helpful.

  • *~*stick, baby, stick*~*  I know it's nerve-wracking, but I think quite a few people spot in the first tri.  I will cross my fingers that it's nothing serious!

  • so my loss had nothing to do with my first trimester bleeding-- let me get that out there before I freak you out.

I had lots of spotting in the first tri-- every day it would be there when I would wipe.  At one point I felt like I was having a normal period.  It was bright red-- occasionally very small clots.  But it all turned out to be well.  I always wanted to hear of women who had it when it was happening-- it's hard to believe it will be okay.  But it will.  Are you on progesterone?  I always thought the suppositories might have contributed to my bleeding.

Continuing to send you sticky baby dust I know it's hard not to be scared.

  • Sticky dust headed your way.

For the record, I had the same thing with Andrew and everything was fine. I would ask for an appt on Monday to see dr and check your levels to make you feel better.

    Hugs,

    Amy

  • I spotted for over 12 weeks this last pregnancy--I actually bought tampins and pads after the first few weeks of bleeding. We had a healthy girl!  Hang in there. It is so stressful.

Thank you so much for this!  I just went to the restroom again and there were some clots.  I flipped out and called AGAIN but they still say to just rest and only go to the ER if I have really bad pain for a lot of blood.  I am going to call the doctor on Monday to see what they say.  Hopefully they can check me out to give me some peace of mind.
