What times does your two-year old wake up?

During the week we wake up DD at 6:30. We have to actually wake her up. However, for some strange, messed up reason, often she wakes up by herself at 6 on the weekend. It drives DH crazy because he hopes she would sleep in just a little. He thinks 6am is unusually early for a toddler. I can't help but think its normal. So...what time does your 2-year old wake up by themselves?

6am is normal for a toddler... though, all kids wake at different times.

Mine usually wake between 6:30 and 7:30... but they certainly don't know to "sleep in" on weekends... and keeping kids up later at night does not = longer sleep in the am (in case your DH thinks that)... sleep begets sleep - so the better they nap, the more they sleep at night generally.

I have a 20 month old and a 3 year old and they is usually up between 6:30-7:30 on the weekends and usually wake by 6:30-7 during the week but if they are not up by 7 I wake them. Mine also take a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon and go to bed @ 8:30.

Jake wakes up about 7am, give or take half an hour.

He slept in until 845am this morning, considering I went to bed unusually late last night, I was one appreciative mama this morning.

i also have to wake up ds when i go to work but i wake him up at 6. when i don't have to wake him up then i'd say on average he wakes up at 6:30 (sometimes you'll get 7 or other times you'll get 5:30 like i did this morning....never know).

On average, DS wakes up at 7:00, which is the latest he can sleep in during the week. He usually wakes up earlier during the week (I assume because he can hear us getting up and getting ready for work).

Fwiw, our pediatrician said that 6:00 (or later) is an appropriate/acceptable time for a baby/toddler to be awake and ready for the day.

DS goes to bed at 9 and wakes up between 645-730 am. Rate occasions he is up at 8

DS wakes up between 6:30-7:30 everyday and is asleep between 7:30 and 8. An I agree with PPs: sleep begets sleep!

During the week, if he hasn't been super active the day before, he usually wakes up around 10-10:30. On weekends (or post-super active days) he sometimes sleeps until noon. However, he goes to bed at 10:30-11pm, which is a lot later that most toddlers, I think. He also only naps about 40% of the time.

On the days I have to wake my DD up I do it at 5:30. On my off days when we sleep in she doesn't wake up on her own until 9:30-10:30. Much appreciated since I wake up at 4:30 on my days to work.

Between 7 and 8. Any earlier is pretty unusual for DS. If he wakes up earlier I can usually get him back down. His bedtime is 9pm.

DS is a little over 3, but I'll answer since his wake up time is pretty much the same as when he was 2. He typically wakes up between 7 and 7:30 a.m. When he was 2.5, he went through a couple month phase where he was getting up between 6-6:30 a.m., but knock on wood, that waking early phase has passed.

DS is woken up at 6:15 during the week but sleeps to 7 on the weekends.

They wake up somewhere between 6 and 7:15 depending on the day. I set their Ok to Wake clock for 7am on weekends so they play in their room until then. It's set for 6:45 during the week to get ready for daycare. Occasionally I have to wake them up during the week, but rarely. They are also in bed by 7:00 and asleep by 8pm each night.

DD1 wakes up usually at 9:00am unless I need to wake her for an early appointment. She's in bed at 9:00pm most days as well and still takes a 1-2 hr nap each day.

I'd like to transition her to an earlier bedtime in order to wake earlier, but DD2 stays awake until midnight most days and that leaves me exhausted so I sleep late and allow her to also. Maybe one of these days...

Wow, I can't believe I'm the only one with a super early riser!!! I'm dreaming of the day when DD sleeps until 6:00am!

DD1 is up between 5:00am and 5:30am every day! She never sleeps in, recently though, she's started playing in her crib for a little bit when she first wakes up so that I can get a quick shower in before getting her out. She goes to bed around 7:00-7:15.

Ruby goes to bed between 8-8:30 and wakes up anywhere from 7:30 to 8:30 am.

Most nights he's in bed anywhere between 6:15 and 7, and sleeps until 7ish. He's a crappy napper most days though, so he's tired around 6 every night.
