Soft breasts... ?

As your milk starts regulating to fit baby's needs, do your breasts start to feel soft (or just not full)?

Re: Soft breasts... ?

  • During the day if I am home w/ LO and she is eating all the time they are soft.  When I am at work they are soft after pumping and for a while until I know I have reached my limit and I get a sweaty rush and breasts get hard like a let down.  They are full overnight when I wake and in the morning since I am going close to 4hrs between feeds.  HTH

  • Yes.

This far along, my breasts feel almost like they did before I had a baby. You'll feel less full within a month or so of bf-ing.

  • Yes, mine really changed over the past week or so and my baby was 6 weeks old yesterday.

I was worried, but read it was normal in "the womanly art of breastfeeding" so I felt better.
