bleeding a little, normal?

i woke up this morning & had some cramping. i thought it was just because i had to go to the bathroom. when i wiped there was some blood. not an extreme amount but enough to scare the hell out of me. it was like pink. no more since then and that was like a half hour ago. and the cramping stopped. i checked the baby's heartbeat and it was in the 150's like normal and she was kicking the doppler as i was doing it. is this normal or should i be worried and go to the hospital?

    have you had sex or an internal lately? if yes, than I say its likely due to a sensitive cervix and nothing to worry about. If no, I would probably call the doctor just to be safe as that could be part of your mucus plug, and it's a little early to be losing that...It kinda sounds like you had a good strong BH contraction that caused  the spotting, but I'd want assurance that it wasn't a real, productive contraction this early....but again, if you had sex, i'd say nothing to worry about at all.

    Call your ob. They should have someone on call. At 28 weeks I wouldn't discount it. ( if you've had sex that can sometimes happen, but better safe than sorry)

    the last time i had sex was on friday around 12:30 in the afternoon so i don't think it was that. i called the OB resident on call at my hospital and she didn't sound too worried. she asked me a series of questions trying to get a grasp on what the bleeding could be from but all of the questions were no answers. she didn't sound too concerned and she just said "well if you wanna come into labor and delivery we can take a look." so right now im kinda just relaxing and seeing if i bleed anymore or cramp anymore before i rush into the hospital. my boyfriend is working on the baby's room right now so i'd rather not take him away from that for a false alarm if it stopped by now. if i bleed any more or get that cramping back i'm going to go. she is kicking and moving around so i know she's alright.

    At my birthing class yesterday they said the while it is usually nothing, bleeding is always cause for you to call the doctor.  I'd call to be on the safe side.

    I've had this a couple of times. The first was around 30 weeks and after sex. I ended up calling and my OB asked me to go in for a US and a NST, even though I was feeling him move. Everything looked good and they didn't really give me a good reason for the bleeding.

    The second time was last week (not after sex) and I didn't call because I was feeling baby and had an appointment the next day. I mentioned it to my dr. and he kind of scolded me and told me I should always call when that happens.
