Do you think it is weird/"wrong" to have an espresso stained crib for a baby girl? My dad, mom and DH are trying to convince me she should have a white, off white, or light colored bright crib. I planned to do the dark crib with pink, black, white, damask, etc. I think it is going to look fine, but when I google images for girl nurseries they are mostly white.
What do you all think?
Re: Non Clicky Poll about cribs
I had the exact crib color, as well as the pink, black and white damask for my DH! Theres nothing wrong with it and was complimented a lot for the modern style and clean look it gave. Dont listen to boys haha
Er, no. One of the reasons I like espresso cribs is because I consider them gender neutral. I don't care for white cribs - they show wear a lot faster, imo. We have an espresso crib, and I love it for either boy or girl.

Thanks everyone! I had her crib set all picked out and my dad wanted to go with us for one more look at selection (and he is paying). He and DH ganged up on me LOL They found this white crib with all this detail and said that was the "one." They said even if I didn't like it she needed a light colored crib. My mom, who couldnt go today because she is sick, has been saying light crib for weeks.
I want the espresso and that is what we are going to get! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy in thinking that it toally fits for a little girl!

Boy or girl, I wanted cherry wood everything. SO and I eventually went with oak because it's sturdy and gender neutral.
I can't stand white cribs. Dad and Step-mom were trying to give me my little sister's crib (she's 5yrs) for LO. DS already has an oak (light brown) crib. White would not match. Plus, it's white.
