February 2012 Moms

Baby is still breech.

Grrr. Had an appt. on Friday. I actually think the baby had turned at least transverse and has turned back. My bump is higher than it was last week. My OB gave me some more exercises to do (similar to spinningbabies) and I am going to the chiro again in a week.

Oh well, other than that the baby looks great, so I guess we will just hope for the best!

  • You and me are in the same club and we need to quit it. I'll send your baby turning vibes if you send my baby the same - deal?

  • Me too.  Been to the chiro.  Bought Moxa sticks to try some moxibustion at home.  Made an appointment for a consult with the doc that does the external version (which I'd like to avoid, but would rather do than a c-section).  Hoping the little baby turns by itself!
  • Sending good vibes your way, I need some too, please. Baby still transverse in bicornuate uterus....I feel like there is no hope for me ='(

  • Mine too.  :(  For the past week and a half I have seen the chiro 5 times, gotten acupuncture twice, done spinning babies 2-3 times a day and the moxi stick twice a day.

I have a meeting on Tuesday with my MWs mentor who does versions and also has a lot of experience attending breech vaginal births (last resort before c-section), so I feel like I am doing everything possible to still have the safe and gentle birth I was planning, but I still had a freak out about it last night.

I will be continuing with the chiro 3 times a week and the acupuncture 2 times a week and spinning babies everyday until she turns or I go into labor, but it is already getting pretty old.

I hope all our LOs turn soon!

  • Same here! I keep telling LO that she'd fit better and she'd be more comfortable if her head was down, but she won't listen!

Ok for real, i talked to my OB last week (33 1/2 weeks) about it. She said only a small percentage (I think it was 5% ?? Don't hold me to it, preggo brain is in crazy overdrive) of women who go into labor naturally have a breech baby. She didn't really have any suggestions for helping her turn; from the sounds of it she really doesn't believe things like spinningbabies are really helpful. I'm not to worried about it for now.
