I have been suffering from all day morning sickness. My doctor has put me on Diclectin...It's been helping quite a bit; however I find there are days when I have taken my pill that I'm still throwing up. I'm 12 weeks 3 days today. I find that morning sickness is getting better but it hasn't vanished quite yet. How far along are you? Hopefully your morning sickness subsides soon as I'm waiting on mine to do the same...lol Where abouts in Canada are you from? I'm from Ontario.
I'm past m/s now but I was on diclectin from 8 weeks to about 16 weeks, 4 pills a day. I was nauseous all time and found the diclectin just stopped me from throwing up which was great for work (so I could stop running out of meetings!)
It's hard to believe but it does get better! And I found it helpful to cut back my dosage slowly, 3 pills a day, 2 etc. Good luck!!
hi natashag26, I'm 14 weeks now and am still very nauseaus, throwing up occassionally. The Diclectin didn't work for me, I was still throwing up on it and it was way too strong for me, it knocked me off my feet for the whole day even half the dose. It is hard to believe that it gets better, I have this weird fear that it will last forever lol. I'm in woodbridge ontario, just in the suburbs of Toronto
I'm 15 weeks 4 days and I'm actually feeling pretty good now. It seems as though my sickness is subsiding. The odd time I'll get queasy but I'm not throwing up nearly as much as I was the last few months. Are you able to feel any fluttering from your baby? I haven't been able to feel too much movement...I'm pretty sure it's fluttering that I feel but maybe I'm crazy...LOL I'm in North Bay. North of Barrie. I go for my 18 week ultrasound on Feb. 17th. We are hoping to find out the gender of the baby. Hopefully the baby cooperates. If not we'll be having a surprise. Have you given much thought as to having a 3D ultrasound? My husband and I have talked about it and may consider it. It's costly though so we'll definitely have to save for it, if we do choose to have it done. I hope things get better for you.
week 18 just rolled in all day sickness and throwing up has subsided significantly (thank goodness) occasionally I manage to get rid of my breakfast but otherwise get hungry often so have to eat small portions frequently. I do feel occasional fluttering but can't say that those are definitely kicks, feels more like gas bubbles popping lol. I am having my 20 wk u/s March 2nd, we are not finding out the gender but my mom is driving us nuts (not in a bad way) because she wants to know so I am hoping the baby doesn't cooperate so we don't have to lie to her The 3D u/s should be interesting I just never really thought about it, I think the regular ones are pretty neat. I'd save your money and do something special with the hubby. Hope your baby cooperates on your u/s so you can find out the gender. Hope you are well, good luck :-)
