oh no! dh has shingles... again! :(

My poor dh has shingles yet again :( Im so worried this baby will come and he won't even be able to hold her :( i don't even know if he can be in the delivery room. Im so scared and sad :( anyone know anything about this? They told us last time if you've had chicken pox you are ok but if not or kids who haven't gotten both shots need to stay away :(

    If he has shingles he most likely will have to stay away from the baby, since they haven't been exposed to Chicken Pox or had the vaccine yet. I know that it's only contagious if you touch the actual lesion but still it's better to be safe than sorry. Call your OB and hospital about it they would be able to tell what they recommend and what their policies are.

    Called my ob and she said it's no big deal. His rash is on his back so it's not exposed. And she said since i had chicken pox we should be just fine. If i was to go in labor we'd let the staff know and they would if needed give him scrubs and surgical outfit stuff just in case. But shouldn't be a big deal :)
