SS & DH

SS called DH again last night. They get 5 minutes of talk. I was wrong about the $25 DH paid for the first call. SS only gets to talk for 5 minutes. The rest goes into a bank of minutes. 

SS AGAIN asks us to send another care package.  Seriously?  DH tells him, "Not now. We are having to be really tight financially right now and DD comes first." 

I about choked on my coke.   Did I really hear DH say that?

SS said something back and DH told him again that he's got a 2 year old that he needs to take care of first. "That's what adults do - they take care of their children and I have to make sure DD has what she needs first and right now that's a roof over her head, food in her mouth and diapers on her butt. She's not getting spoiled either son. I'll send a package when we can afford it." 

They talked more and DH said something about how SS needs to grow up and the mess he's in.  SS made a comment about lecturing and DH tells him, "Well when you grow up and act your age, I'll stop lecturing."

I'm annoyed with SS for acting like a spoiled teenager, but proud of DH for continuing to stand his ground.
