so last night i was having contractions on and off all night and some got pretty painful.I was finally able to fall asleep, about 5:30 this morning I woke up in alot of pain again.I could barely move from side to side,sit up on my own or get out of bed and they kept up so I went in to get checked this morning.they said that my cervix is still far back there and that some people may think that i'm 2 cms and others may say that im 3.My husband and I were starting to wonder since I had to get shots from 16wks to 36 wks to keep me from going into preterm labor and keep my cervix closed if thats why i'm not dilating so easily this is my 4th baby.When I went to the Dr on Wednesday they told me that I was 3cms 60% effaced, Of course I got to the hospital and my contractions stopped so they sent me home.That was about 9:30 this morning that they checked me,  I just now started having bleeding about half an hr ago. Which is unusual for me to spot at all and I passed two what looked like small clots.Do you think I may just be having some bleeding from getting checked or could I be starting my bloody show ? I've started to cramp and contract again the past hr.I'm 38 wks 5 days,also if I dont have Briella by Wednesday she is suppose to strip my membranes.  I was hoping to do a drug free labor but I tested Positive for GBS so I have to have the antibotics

    I think you should go in to be checked or at the very least call and talk to your OCD. Could be nothing, but also could be something. It really is better safe than sorry and I wouldn't trust 2 small clots to be a good thing.

    Sorry you're having a rough time.  I agree with the PP and would call your OB.  Hopefully this all means it will be soon.  Good luck!

    I would definitely call and tell them about the clots. I know you can spot after an internal exam because it can irritate your cervix, but I've never heard of it causing clots.

    I was checked yesterday morning and they also stripped my membranes... so I have had brown clots all day today. Lot's of them and big.  I called because i wasn't sure about it.  The nurse told me that is exactly what they want to happen.  But in your case I'm not sure since they haven't stripped you yet.  I would call just to be safe.
