Anyone else have a little one that doesn't eat "breakfast?" My LO wakes up anywhere between 3-4 and will finish a 6 oz bottle, then falls asleep until 6:30-7. When she wakes up I wait until about 8 to feed again and she refuses it. Sometimes I can get her to take a few oz. but normally it is nothing. I guess she is just not a breakfast eater. She normally catches up later in the day. Should I try just oatmeal for breakfast instead?

Re: Doesn't eat "breakfast?"
We did Baby Wise with DD, which states that if your LO isn't taking a full feeding upon waking in the morning, he/she probably didn't need that last nighttime feeding (or at least not as much). We took that approach with DD, who started STTN at 8 weeks. When she stopped consistently eating a full feeding upon waking, I started reducing the oz she had during her nighttime feeding, until eventually she just stopped waking up for it. I guess 1 measly oz wasn't worth it to her.
That being said, "breakfast" is still her smallest meal of the day. She doesn't normally wake during the night (if so, typically only once, for a paci insert) and still upon waking will not take as large a bottle as she does at other times of the day. But I guess breakfast is my smallest meal of the day, too, so I don't worry about it too much. She's gaining plenty of weight.
