Anyone else having lots of headaches??? I know it comes with the territory of the 2nd tri, but I thought I might have a grace period!! What are you doing to help them?
Oh no, really? I was hoping it was just a first tri thing. Crap. I usually get them for 2 or 3 days straight with no relief. If they start up again, i am probably going to try acupuncture, because Tylenol ain't cuttin it!
I have a prescription medicine that's basically Tylenol, caffeine, and one other thing I cannot remember combined. My midwife also suggested just taking Tylenol with a glass of caffeinated soda. I hope you find relief from you headaches soon. Mine are actually letting up (for now) with second tri.
Mommy to N (3), J (2), and C (10 months). LO4 is due in mid-September.
I had been having lots of headaches too, and I really don't like to take any meds but I had to take Tylenol. Well I was talking with my mw about it and she asked how much water was I drinking. I said I was drinking about 72 oz's of water (I know not the crazy 3 quarts) she said I needed to really try to get the 3 quarts especially since I live at high altitude. I have been able to drink the 3 quarts and very few headaches. If I start to get one I just chug some water and it goes away.
I am glad to know I am not the only one with this problem. My headaches have been getting worse in the past few days. I rarely have caffeine so I know they aren?t from that. I really hope they don?t stay for all of 2nd tri. I was really looking forward to feeling better.

I've been getting lots too! No fun... I second drinking a ton of water. Being well-hydrated seems to help, and worst case scenario, I'll have a small cup of coffee (I haven't been able to clear any OTC meds with my OB yet, so I've avoided Tylenol).
Yup, they started around 13 weeks and last for days at a time. Tylenol does nothing for me. I drink a ton of water so I'm not dehydrated. One more joy of pregnancy!

Mine started at the end of week 11...and I have had horrible head pounders to mild ones. I got adjusted at the Chiropractor on Tuesday, and that has helped a lot! I take Tylenol if I have to, though.

I get them...I try not to take anything, but if they become unbearable, I chug a coke and take an excedrin migraine - I know they're on the "no list" because of the aspirin, but when my headaches are bad, I vomit and have vision issues. I only do this as a last ditch effort. Usually, the key for me is take tylenol and drink coke the first second I even think a headache is coming on, and if possible, lie down.

The last few days I have been getting headaches in the morning. I either take a Tylenol or drink some caffeine if it gets bad.

Me (raises hand) I had migraines before becoming pregnant and now they seem to be coming more often. Tylenol doesn't even touch them but nothing else feels safe. I'm going to acupuncture and it helps a little.

I have suffered from severe and frequent migraines the past few years, but my headaches actually seemed to get better initially with pregnancy. I got a few here and there early on in first tri, but usually a Coke and Tylenol would help. Beginning last week debilitating headaches with lots of nausea/vomiting are back and I am miserable. I haven't been getting auras as I usually do with migraines, so I am not sure whether they are technically migraines.
I have a question for you guys - are you able to work? I have been pretty incapacitated by the headaches and I really can't do anything when I wake up with one. Is anyone else in the same boat or are you able to continue working through them?

I just want to offer some advice to you ladies who are taking Tylenol or other pain killers daily. If you can fight taking it on a daily basis please try to.
I have a condition called daily chronic headache that was brought on by taking pain killers too often for headaches. I would mostly take Excedrin and eventually Fiorcet. I've been on the current headache I have now since last February. I wouldn't wish what I've gone through on anyone. So please be careful.
Mine have been getting worse within the last few days and they seem to stay for days! Tylenol is the only relief I get but usually when the tylenol wears off the headache is back..hope your gets better soon.
I've been getting them too. I kind of think it has to do with stopping my progesterone (my headaches are often hormone-induced), but usually a few swigs of a caffeinated latte do the trick. I don't like using Tylenol, mostly because it doesn't really work, and I've only had to have caffeine a few times for headaches, which my doctor is fine with. I hope they stop soon, I HATE having headaches...
I usually get migraines but haven't had any since being pg. now I just have regular headaches and actually go away with 2 Tylenol and a nap!! That's a miracle for me!!
Mine just started on Thursday! I have never had a tension headache before in my life! It was awful....plus I am not a big medicine taker so I waited until DH go home to yell at me to take Tylenol LOL. Ugh I really hope that these do not continue throughout my pregnancy they are seriously debilitating.
