What is your bathing suit budget like? I'm kinda browsing online for my Mexico bathing suit this week. Like I've said I hope to take off some weight/tone up but the skin issues on my stomach I think have doomed me to a 1 piece forever. I've always just bought kinda cheapo Target or Old Navy suits but now that my body needs the help I looove this suit (in plain black). DH ok'ed me spending the money but it just seems ridiculous to me for a plain black 1 piece...
On another note- I love to look at the "very sexy" suits and think... hmm if I was skinny, I would totally wear this one
Re: Bathing suits
those VS models make me sick! That girl does not need the "firm control" in any way! But, it's a cute suit! It's still sexy for a one piece!
I've heard great things about Hapari suits. They are having a 30% off sale too (code WINTER30). And the prices aren't bad to begin with.
Bathing suits are the devil. I will be forever in a 1 piece b/c my stomach looks like it got attacked by a puma. I've just come to terms with that, I haven't worn a 2 piece since high school.
Anyway, I can't access the link from work but I hate spending a lot of money on something that has so little fabric and that I will wear so infrequently. I'm cheap. However, a bathing suit should make you feel comfortable so if you think it will be worth the money go for it! I'm learning that spending a little more to help me look better is worth it.

I tried on a "magicsuit" at Lord And Taylor last summer and it was totally NOT magic.. it was on clearance for like $30 which is the only reason I even tried it on, so NO i would NOT spend $100+ on a suit.
Is mexico your kid free vacay? Cuz I would not wear a suit cut like that when I was out with my kids..

I love Lands End slender suits. They are $$$ but do hold the fluff in well. They are by no means as sexy as what you linked, but they are not old lady either. They wear well and haven't faded at all. I have had Athleta suits too...they are $$$ but fade and stretch.
So, yes I would pay a lot more for a quality suit. I tend to get plain black too.
I bought this suit last summer on clearance but didn't wear it b/c I was pregnant shortly after buying it:

I think I paid maybe $80 for it? Its the most I've paid for a suit in a LONG time but I don't buy bathing suits very often so I felt ok spending it.
The most I have paid (since competitively swimming in high school) for a bathing suit was my maternity one I got when pregnant with dd. But I swam almost every day with her, and got another 15 or so uses out of it this pregnancy, so I guess it was worth it.
I am hoping to just fit in to my old suits for our beach vacation in June. Especially bc by the time I realize that they don't fit, no stores will be carrying suits anymore so I will have to buy online. I hate one pieces, I feel so constricted. But I think that also stems back to wearing the competitive swim suits bc they are so darn tight.
Cute! I have to spend more on bathing suits now, cheap ones don't hold everything in the right places. I would fall right out of an Old Navy suit, no question. I bought a tankini from Lands End and while it was expensive, it's held up really well.
