Sorry this is so late! Having a newborn= not much computer time!

December 27th I was induced. We went in at 4:45 am to get started. When we got there I was already having regular contractions at 2 minutes apart and 90 seconds each, and was dilated to 3. They eventually started a low dose of pitocin because I wasn't getting anywhere very fast. A few hours went by and I eventually was dilated to 5 and contractions were hurting! This is when I got the epidural, which sucked because apparently my spinal bones were so close together that the doctor had a hard time getting the needle in.

For the next few hours life was pretty easy. Had some family visit us while I was just chilling and waiting! Finally contractions were getting pretty intense and I was dilated to 9, then 10. I pushed for about 10 minutes and had a tiny episiotomy which required no stitches or anything like that.

Channing was born healthy and we got to keep her in our room that night. However, she started shaking pretty bad and was acting strange. I'm a ftm but I had a feeling something wasn't right! The doctors came in the next morning to do a check-up, and sure enough she had low blood sugar and couldn't maintain her body temp. She was kept on an IV and in the hospital until new years eve when we were finally released! She is doing great now and is absolutely beautiful!
