Can't believe...

that we had court on Wednesday and my ex emailed me today wanting to see LO. He has seen her twice in 7 months. (his choice, not mine) and he expects me to just bring her to him. She doesn't even know who he is and will NOT go to him. (separation anxiety, she basically only wants me) Uh, first of all his petition for custody/visitation was dismissed in court because he decided not to show up. He has no rights to her, what can't he get through his drug filled head?? I finally blocked him from facebook so he can't contact me anymore!!!

    I do not know much of your backstory so if you tell me he is fresh our of rehab please ignore whats below!
    Is there a reason you don't want him having visitation (other than the fact he hasn't seen her much)? Is he still doing drugs? My EX didn't have rights for DS until September of this year but knowing that he IS LO's Dad, I would never keep him from having a relationship with him and I always offered visitation until we made a schedule in mediation.

    Why not tell him that he can have (supervised) visitation if he shows you a clean drug test? That way he can't go behind you and say that you are keeping LO away from him. My EX comes MAYBE once a month to see DS for 2 days. He barely reconizes him and he always gravitates more towards me but you have to let them make the bond. As she gets older, it will get better.

    So tell him you have plans. Tell him that until there is a CO in place regarding visitation, you expect 24 or 48 hours notice if he wants to see LO. That way if he makes a stink in Court, you can show that you're willing to work with him but that you require more notice so that you can make appropriate plans. If you aren't willing to allow him to spend time with her, it might hurt you later in front of the Judge.

    He filed for visitation but it was dismissed in court because he never showed up to our court date. My lawyer said he doesn't have any rights to her. I don't want him in her life at all. He doesn't even want her or deserves to be in her life. He physically, verbally, and mentally abused me while I was pregnant with her and he even offered me $25k to have an abortion because having a baby would ruin his lifestyle. He threatened to kick me in the stomach and throw me down the stairs. I've called the cops on him regarding domestic violence. He also is a drinker, marijuana smoker, and does cocaine. He has severe anger management issues as well. I DO NOT WANT MY BABY AROUND THAT!!!
