We're getting hardwoods put in next week. So when DS spits up on the carpet I let the dog "clean" it up. Gross, right? Totally gross, but DS projectile vomits multiple times an hour and I am so over it...
I have a 20 year old cousin that just had a DD 2 weeks ago. She never called, text, or anything to let anyone know she was in labor, which I understand because I didn't either. I just didn't want to every 5 min phone calls about how I was doing and is baby here yet..ect... But, then she never let anyone know baby was born either.....except through FB. I do not consider FB a place for my FAMILY to tell me important infor and it really annoyed me....so I haven't made any comments on her pics or anything. For all she knows, I may have been busy and not gotten on FB and have no clue the sweet little girl was even born!
Every day dd has her witching our at 5 and I have my merlot wine hour lol
LOL. I've done this. I appreciate it.
I know! Sometimes I feel like omg I drink 2 glasses or so every day maybe I shouldn't lol but it really helps my sanity through the 3 hrs of screaming lol

I consider it a reward for a tough day. My rule is is that I can enjoy it but I have to stay sober enough to still give my very best care and attention to LO. There's no harm in a little fun to get through the day.

Speaking of carpet and hardwoods... We live in an older house, and there is really nice hardwood under our carpet, which is also really nice. I'm so, so tempted to pull up the perfectly good, newer, expensive, carpet and refinish the hardwood just because I like hardwood better.

. I love this. For me, 7pm is bedtime and 7:05pm is wine time.
I cannot stand people on here who feel the need to answer EVERY SINGLE POST with stupid nonsense that they perceive as helpful. I.E. "My baby wont STTN" Their answer: "mine does".
You know who you are...are you just trying to up your points? Go from Bronze, Silver (etc.) to Gold?? For the love of God, move away from the computer!
This!!! Drives me nuts when people do this. It's just mean. Also, I bought some gluten free, dairy free, soy free donuts yesterday that were SUPER expensive, but OMG, they were so yummy! I haven't had a donut in years! I ate 2 last night and shared one with DH, but I think I'm going to eat the last 3 while he's at work today. He can have donuts any time he wants.

Sry just had to tell you that your lo dressed as a snowman is so adorable!
I have not slept for 5 hours straight since before LO was born. Not even once in over 5 months. Every time that LO has slept greater than 5 hours, it has been his first stretch of sleep, and I cannot make myself go to bed at 7pm. When I read about people complaining that their kid wakes up once at 4am, I get jealous. I just want one single night of 5 hours of sleep.

I know a food allergy can be very serious, but I'm not sure I necessarily consider LO's dairy protein allergy a bad thing. It's not a life-threatening allergy - just causes mucousy diapers, diaper rash from hades, reflux, and nose congestion - so it's bad, but it could always be worse! The allergy is a bit inconvenient because I have to be completely dairy-free since I EBF, and I know it will be inconvenient for him if he doesn't outgrow it by the time he eats actual table food, but it does keep my IL's from feeding him all junk! My nephew is 2 and a half, and under-tall and underweight, so my IL's have taken the "as long as he's eating something" stance. My FIL first fed my nephew chocolate and ice cream at 3 months old and they let him eat stuff like swiss roll cakes and then marvel at the fact that he doesn't want to eat much when he's in his high chair for an actual meal! And if he does eat anything, he thinks he deserves more junk food because he ate a little meat and he generally doesn't do veggies! The milk allergy does kinda suck because if LO doesn't grow out of it, he won't get to eat the fun stuff that most kids enjoy like ice cream and such, but it does give me an excellent excuse to say "no, he can't have that" when family members want to let him "try stuff" at dinners. It turns me from "big bad mommy who doesn't want LO to have any fun" to "protective mommy who is trying to keep LO safe".
So there's this boy. He kinda stole my heart. He calls me "Mom"
I have a friend who just had her 3rd lo. I am a first time mom so I feel I have no right to say anything to her, but some of the things she says and does drive me crazy. She told me how she is upset that her 7 week old wakes up a few times a night so she moved up the nipple size of the bottle and puts rice cereal in it at night to get him to sleep longer. When he does wake up she just feeds him in the bassinett so he doesnt wake fully up, she just posted a picture of the bottle held up with a blanket, urgh....this is just a few, why would you post that picture?

I know someone like this and it is her only child! She posted a pic the other day sooo happy because her lo was holding his bottle himself.. Blech. I enjoy the time spent holding/ feeding my lo! And I don't know, maybe it's an UO but I understand 3 is difficult but if you don't have time to feed a third child, don't have one!

"What did my fingers do before they held you? What did my heart do with it's love?"
I bought 3 smocked outfits yesterday and lied to DH about it bc he said he would go crazy if one more smocked outfit came in the mail. They're for LATER. And they were a good deal! He'll get over it.
My SIL posted a pic of my nephew sleeping in is crib covered in blankets, toys, a sippy cup, and some laundry...he's 2 1/2 so it's not dangeroud...I posted "Looks like an episode of Hoarders:Crib Edition"....it did NOT go over well :c)

Jess & Adam, married 2009, precious Audrey born in 2011. BFP 1/6/13, 6-wk MMC discovered at 9 wks 2/11/13. D&C 2/18/13, second D&C 4/23/13 for retained placenta. BFP 8/24/13!! EDD 5/1/14, delivered healthy and sweet Zoey Leanne on 5/5/14 by repeat c-section.
After DH and I make a parenting decision, we immediately start judging people who do the opposite. We don't say anything to people's faces about it... I actually think it's a little bit of a good thing because we're that happy with our decisions!! (i.e. breastfeeding, cloth diapering, BLW)

I'm over baby food posts!
For the love people!
Find an acceptable fruit or veggie, cook, drain, mash, feed. Freeze if necessary.
Don't overthink in the meantime.
End of story.
