2nd Trimester

I hate food! Please help and give me ideas what to eat.

Hi ladies,

I certainly did not have this problem with my first pregnancy.  I ate all of the time and always found things that appealed to me.

I HATE eating right now!  I was so sick first tri and lived on ginger ale and bagels.  I could gag at the sight of a bagel now.  I have no desire to eat anything.  It is a complete chore and I eat the same things day in and day out.  My diet consists of:

Chobani yogurt, Kashi granola bars, string cheese, carrots and/or red peppers dipped in hummus, apples, pears, chocolate and salad with grilled chicken.

I went through a BLT phase for a week, an oatmeal phase for a week and now I can't seem to find anything that I want to eat.  What do you eat?

  • I've been going through a lot of hard boiled eggs, string cheese, and cucumbers.

  • Nothing ever sounds good to me either, except cake, but I can't live on that (unfortionately!).

Anything cold usually is alright... strawberries, blueberries, cucumbers, watermelon. Cheetos... they don't sound good, but once I start eating them they taste so wonderful!

  • My cravings seem to come and go at the speed of light.  My first biggie was tomato juice.  I stocked up on juice and V8 and now I STILL have 1/2 the V8 left because the craving ended and heartburn won the battle.  This week has been oranges and peanuts in the shell.  Regardless of craving however, everything always ends in indigestion and heartburn Sad  Good luck!... I think we all need it haha
  • I never want to look at another goldfish cracker again. I just ate pizza and wings. Not healthy but there my go to food when everything looks gross.

Ive also been on a cheeseburger kick.

  • Fruit and smoothies have been helpful on days when I don't feel well. I've been lucky to be able to eat almost anything again, but I definitely still have my moments. Cereal and milk was also a big life saver when I was still in the food aversions/constant nausea phase.

  • I don't seem to have your problem, lol, but i did go through it earlier on.  Fruit are my tried and trues, cucumber sandwiches are a delight (toast some bread, spread a bit of miracle whip, top with some cucumber slices, pepper, and your more than welcome to add a slice of cheese... D-lish!), cereal, i do a lot of the yogurt with berries or make my own fruit smoothies and add some protein, really liking those right now... nothing too fancy really...
