TTC after 35

First time tester question

I am 37 years old have been on BC since I was 18 went of BC in Sept of 2011, had 2 AF in Oct and 2 in Nov and nothing since.  We BD twice in Nov after AF, but I had no CM until 3 days later and then it was EW.  My question is should I use FMU to test or does it matter this late.  I have no symptoms except no AF and my armpits are a bit more potent than normal.    Thanks in advance.  This isn't exactly a planned pregnancy as we were still debating if we were ready or not.  We have been married for 11 years and together 18 yrs.

Re: First time tester question

  • If you've been pregnant since November you shouldn't need FMU.  Good luck!  Know that cycles can be wonky for a few months you go off the pill so it's possibly you are just having a (really) long one, though.

  • I agree that if you've been pregnant since November, you shouldn't need FMU, but if you've been having unprotected sex within the last 18 days, and you aren't positive of when you ovulated, then FMU will certainly give you the most accurate response possible(of course if you ovulated in the last 10 days, it may still show negative). But in all honesty, if you haven't had AF since November, I'd make an appointment with an ON/GYN anyway.
