in Parenting after a Loss
Every time I talk to my boss and coworkers they tell me how much busy I am going to be when I get back. They are looking forward to an extra hand, but I feel overwhelmed. I am planning to pump every 2 hrs, bfing at lunch time and hoping to be home at ok time since I will want to spend time with DS in evenings. He is not good with the bottle so that is another thing I am worried about. I am not looking forward to starting work in few weeks. Vent over

    first of all ((( HUGS ))))

    Going back to work after maternity leaves SUCKS and is hard.

    The good part . .  the anticipation of going back is usually a lot worse than the reality of it. 

    I hope everything goes smoothly when you return.

    Being back sucks. But, having a LO at home really helps me to of my foot down and say this is what I can do, and that's all I can do. I worked anywhere from 50-95 hour weeks before she arrived (they're not joking when they call it 'full time'), and now I'm never in the office past 6. That said, I expect to go in tomorrow.

    ((hugs))  I'm feeling the same way, D.  I go back on the 16th of this month and feel a lot of anxiety every time I think about it.  Also DS still won't take a bottle.  He just chews on it and lets the milk dribble out of his mouth.  You're definitely not alone!

    Oh how I wish I could be a SAHM!

    ((HUGS))  I have to go back in 5 weeks and am already dreading it.  

    Don't let them overwhelm you before you are even back in the office!  My assistant (who is covering my caseload while I'm out) texts me to tell me how busy she is all the time, but I just ignore her.  lol  The work will be there when we get back, I refuse to stress about it now!

     

    TTC since January 2010
    BFP 5/9/10. U/S - no heartbeat 6/2/10 (7 weeks). Induced miscarriage 6/7/10.
    Chemical pregnancies 12/2/10, 1/3/11, and 2/7/11.
    dx: RPL due to poor quality uterine lining; begin progesterone January 2011
    BFP 3/10/11. EDD 11/19/11. E arrived 11/15/11!

    Going back sucks no matter how you look at it. Leaving DD is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. But I'm setting my boundaries very clearly- at the end of the day it's just a job. I've spent years working to get where I am professionally but my priorities are different now. I'll give them 8-9 hours a day and that's it. 
    After two losses, a rainbow arrived! DD born 11.5.11
    Dx with severe Asherman's syndrome after a botched PP D&C (pursuing med mal)
    Hysteroscopy Oct '13, not enough progress 
    Hysteroscopy Jan '14, given an end-of-the-road diagnosis
    Joined International Asherman's Association April '14 
    Not ready to give up yet.
    Hysteroscopy with Dr. Isaacson (an expert in the USA) 6.2.14: Good prognosis, at least 50% of cavity open.
    Repeat hysteroscopy scheduled with Dr. I on 6.16.14. Great progress. Unbenched!!!!
    Discussing actively TTC with DH after the heartache of the last year. We're both reeling.
