We have two wonderful, healthy kids, a girl and a boy, but I just don't feel "done" yet. Seems like most people IRL think we're pushing our luck to try for more, and think we are crazy to add another baby at our ages. It's not like we're THAT old, and we have plenty of friends still trying for #1 due to IF issues, but prevailing opinion seems to be that we're lucky to have our 2 kids (which we are--completely agree--they are a terrific blessing), our lives are crazy enough, that we're at higher risk now so why push it, and that we'll be "old" when kids are finally out of college. Despite this, I want to start trying again in March or April. I'd like to know I'm not the only one! Anyone else on #3 or more?
I turn 37 this month and DH turns 39 in Feb.
Re: Anyone on #3 or more?
I'm 40 and on #3...
My daughter is 22 and my son is 16....LOL
I will be having a baby at the same age I made my mom a grandma for the first time. We're pretty excited
I am 35 and expecting our 7th child in July. Kids range in age from 4-12. We did not set out to have a large family but would not have it any other way! Glad to see I'm not the only one who gets crazy looks. I say go for it! The more love the better!

I just turned 40 and my birthday present was a positive HPT! This baby was not unplanned just unexpected since it took us such effort to conceive our other 2. We have a 7 and 2 year old. If your family does not feel complete then you need to do what is right for you. Good luck in your decision.
don't let anyone else influence your decision... only you and your DH know if you are done or not - 37 is not that old at all... go for it!
i have 3, but got the 2-for-1 deal the second time around. I was 36 when I had them.
I am expecting #4 and will be 35 next month. Given my history (see siggy) and my risk factors (Hashimoto's and another umbilical hernia), this is our last.
We get the crazy looks all the time when we go out but we have always wanted 4+ kids. Our kids are 7, 5 1/2, and 23 months.
A friend just had her 4th and she is 41 (her kids are 8 1/2, 6, 2, and 4 months).

Ds1 is 16 and has autism, I was a single mom. Ds2 is 8 and is mine and my dh's fist together. Dd1 is due May 6. I just turned 38. I can't tell you how many people have said "you should feel blessed with what you have". Or " don't you think you have your hands full?". I have felt for so long that one more child would complete our wonderful family. I just went the unconventional route of every 8 years! Lol!
I felt the same way, didn't feel "done" as you put it. So we are pregnant with #3. I will be 39 when this baby is born, and DH will be 43. You have to do what you feel is right for you and your family, so go for it!
