I am having trouble finding a brand that has size 3-6 months. My lo is almost too long for his 3 months sleepers, but not big enough for 6 months size. He almost can't put his leg straight haha so sad.
I had this same problem and another bumpie suggested Children's Place Stretchies. They are awesome! My LO is 4mo and 27 in long and she fits perfect in the 3 months and the 6 months are too big. So I think they are sized perfectly! Hope this helps!
Children's place and gymboree are amazing. They are long so they are great for long skinny babies. My LO is still in 0-3 from both but I have already stocked up on 3-6 sizes.
FYI, generally speaking 0-3 = 3 and 3-6 = 6, etc. They go up to that higher #. However, every brand is different. Ex. DD is in 3-6 from gap or ON, 6 month from carters or circo, 12 month from gerber, a few random brands the 3 month or 9 month fits.
Gerber does run really small & I also find the quality lacking. Most pjs seem to shrink a good deal after you wash them. Lastly, it isn't a big deal if the pjs are big.
You said all of this much more concisely than I could have.
Carters (and other brands) "6" IS 3-6. The number on the tag is the "up to" age (assuming, of course that the height/weight aligns).
For my baby (who is skinny and avg to long-ish in length) Carter's sizes are more like the starting age. So, she wore NB until she was 3 months, then she wore 3 months from there on. She's two weeks away from being 6 months and she's still in 3 months. I suspect she could wear the 6 month, they would just be a little big. And then she'll wear that until 9 months.
It's really different for every baby. She's didn't fit into Gap or Gymboree 0-3 until she was at least 4 months old, and is wearing them comfortably now at 5.5 months. But I'm sure for some babies that Gap and Gymboree are right on and Carter's is smaller.
I definitely agree with PP about Children's place stretchies. They are awesome for skinny babies and they have ranges like 3-6, which always line up perfectly with my daughter's age. Gap's jammies work in length, but I have found several of their items to be wide, especially in the neck/shoulder area, even when she does finally grow into them. And as I mentioned, they seem to run bigger on my kid.

No, I agree, the size of your baby may not match up to the age on the tag but it sounded like OP though 6M size was for 6 month olds - period. I was just pointing out that they're intended for 3-6 they just aren't labeled 3-6 so if she truly is looking for something that is geared for a 3-6 month old, 6M size is what she wants
Re: Size 3-6 months Pajamas
Ditto this and I've also found them at GAP and Old Navy though they are more $$ than Children's Place.
Love At First Sight!
I love you even when your a fuss Butt
