JCPenny outdoor table bargain update

Ok, so a few of us saw that there was this crazy deal going around a few days ago on the outdoor patio table by Step 2, on the JCP website for $15.  I bought one right away, $20 and change with shipping, amazing.  I thought they were trying to get rid of summer overstock or something.

Turns out I guess it was a glitch.  The orders went through the roof because a few of the "bargain" blogs caught on to it.  My charge from JCP still says "pending" with my bank, but my order status on the JCP website says in process, will ship on 1/10/12. 

I googled and went from bargain blogger to bargain blogger talking about this, and I found this at couponclipinista: 


I posted about the Step2 Play and Shade Patio Set from JcPenney the other night. It was priced as low as $12.75 after discount codes. It appears this was a huge pricing error on their behalf. It is now priced at $90 on their website.

Well they sent out this email:

?We apologize for the recent incorrect pricing issue for our step2 patio and shade play set. Due to the pricing error we had an over abundance of orders placed. We will be honoring the price of $15 with a limit of one per customer until our stock has been depleted. We will be contacting all customers to inform them of their order status.?

Now, *I* didn't get that email but am assuming it was a response to an inquiry, which I didn't send.  I wonder if I'll get it?  I hope I got in fast enough!  I think I did!!

Reminds me of the Lane Bryant scandal a few years ago.  Was that years ago?!?!?  omg

    Thats actually pretty cool of jcp to honor the price since it is so off, and the one per customer is reasonable too. I remember the LB thing, if I remember correctly they were a-holes about it.

    That's great that they're honoring the price...I haven't gotten an email yet and keep checking my inbox and order status.
