I am looking for any insight for why you chose one over the other. I currently have mine all at a MDO two days a week (9:30-2:30) but am thinking that a Preschool might be a better way to go as they older. It's just so much more expensive & I wonder if it's worth it. Any insight is very much appreciated!

Re: Preschool vs. Mothers Day Out
MDO is for the younger kiddos and is more of a babysitting service usually provided by a church. I think of it more like a social thing for babies and a time away for the parent. Preschool is for the older toddler age (3-4 yrs) that has a structured academic program and do tend to be more expensive.
HTH-
If you are talking about for your twin boys, I would keep them at the MDO until 3. Preschool is more for 3-4 year olds like PP said. My preschool is run by a church and they do have a 2 year old room, but it is more of a playgroup atmosphere then actually learning set up. They do learn in the 2 year old classroom through play, but it is not as "structured" as the 3 and 4 year old rooms. I use the word structured loosely, it is not a military school, but they do have a daily classroom timeline that they do things so the kids learn how a classroom environment works. The 2 year old room is nothing like this.
I don't think kids need preschool before 3, and if the MDO is that much cheaper than I say keep them where they are and bank the money for now.
I tend to agree about kids not needing pre-school before they are 3. I am looking for next fall, because contracts for the preschools are due now for then, and would like for all of mine to be at the same place if possible. My boys will be 2 by then & my DD will be 3 & 1/2. I am Thanks for the feedback. This was really helpful.
