Hi all-
My DS and I are starting a parent/infant swim class tomorrow! I'm so excited! As I was getting this ready for tomorrow- I had a thought- how do I keep my DS's ears dry? I may be over-thinking this but I know that water can get into ears especially when you are in the pool. I know we are not encouraged to use ear swabs.
When I give DS a bath and i think water went into his ear- I would use his baby towel and gently pat dry inside his ear. Is this the way to go?
Re: Keeping baby's ear dry
I'm not sure you need to worry about that....
Not to alarm you, but when my sister started swim classes with her daughter (at 6 months) the first thing they did was dunk baby's head in the water....so yeah, there's no keeping their ears dry.
Unless your doctor has specifically told you to keep your DS's ear dry for some reason, there is nothing wrong with water getting into it...
