What are you doing this weekend?

Re: Weekend Plans

  • Today: work, get baby, go home. DW has had some old HS friends in town and has been busy with them all week while I deal with a cranky teething kiddo solo. So I need a night to myself!

Sat: Where we bought DW's new car she gets free oil changes for life but it is a 30 minute drive...may not be worth it but now her cruise control is not working so it has to go to the dealer anyways so there goes my morning. Afternoon will mean no nap for a certain monkey because she will sleep on the way home form the car dealer which will mean a busy afternoon of laundry and clenaing with a little helper.

Sun: We talked about going to do something but no idea what. It is too cold to do something outside but nothing really cool is going on inside anywhere...I am supposed to go out to sushi and see the Devil Inside with a friend but I am not sure now.

  • ugh, regrouping after my wife's first week on first shift. I'm going to keep up with the calorie tracking I started before new year's even though it'll be the weekend and it'll be easy to cheat (um...I've lost 8.6lbs already how did THAT happen?!). I'm also going to pick up the 30 day shred from the library on my way home from work today since my reserve on it finally came in so I may try that, although we'll see if my foot can take it yet.

I'm trying to think of any actual set plans, but I can't think of any! not that I'm complaining about that, it'll actually be nice to have a weekend without any plans at all. it's been a while since that happened.

  • similar to blue, I dont think we have any set plans. We may bring the kids to a bounce place (my bro has a coupon and wants to play with the kids Wink) and we'll probably go to church sunday.  thats about it.
  • Currently having a crazy day at work and hoping it does not spill over to the weekend.

Tonight we are taking it easy since Jen worked yesterday & today and will be exhausted. We have cookbook club tomorrow night, so I need to grocery shop and prep my two dishes. They both look pretty easy, so it shouldn't take long. We may have brunch or dinner with a friend on Sunday.

Other than that, trying to cross things off my four-page pre-moving to-do list. Yuck.

  • Tonight - Home. L is still sick. She thought she was on the upswing last night, but just called and has a fever/exhausted/etc again. Sigh.

Tomorrow - I am going to take the kids to swimming lessons, get their haircut, and lunch. L was supposed to be working on school stuff, but I don't know if that will happen. I think it is supposed to be warmer, so we might stop at a playground to run around for awhile. Perhaps I will rent movies for the kids/us.

Sunday -  No clue. I am sure there needs to be a grocery run in there somewhere. With L being sick this week, we have eaten horribly (lots of take out) We need to get on the band wagon.

  • I am not sure what tonight or tomorrow will bring us, but sadly I know what Sunday will bring. DW has a conference out of town and leaves Sunday morning and will return late-night Wednesday. I would love to say I am looking forward to some alone time with the Kiddos, but I know the extra set of hands help. So, I guess self-pity is what I am gearing my weekend around *sigh.*

  • Tonight we're celebrating DW's birthday by going out to dinner, then maybe a movie or something, we're not sure yet.

We have plans to make a plan with a good friend on Sunday, but nothing else is set.  I'm looking forward to some relaxing downtime, and hoping we can get started on  some sorting.  We have way too much stuff and want to move to a different apartment, but feel that we're much better offf getting rid of stuff first...The intention has existed for a while but will the new year bring progress??

Dude! Both kids and the house all to yourself!?! Live it up!  Leave dirty dishes on the sink, eat whatever cr@p you want, hang out in your pjs with the kiddos all day snuggled on the couch.  Enjoy it!

C - if you read this, know I'm not digging you.  I just LOVE having the house all to myself for a day or two and think other people should enjoy it too Wink

  • Tonight: It's pizza and movie night at home for E and I. She was SO excited when I told her this morning!

Tomorrow: I need to take my steam cleaning vacuum to a repair shop that's out of my normal travel patterns. We'll stop there on our way into the city. We're going to see A Year with Frog and Toad at the children's theatre. Then probably dinner out somewhere afterwards.

Sunday: No plans at this point. Probably laundry and chores and something fun with E.

  • Jenn works weekends so it'll be me and C by ourselves. Today we are just having a lazy day in our pajamas. Tomorrow I know that I have a few typical errands to run like grocery shopping and picking up some jewelry that we had some work done in. Then on Sunday, I am taking C to meet up with my brother in Chattanooga. It will be the first time that he will have met him. It will also be C's first longer car ride (it's an hour and a half each way). We are planning in going to the Tennessee aquarium and then doing lunch together. I'm really excited about it.

  • I am sick and poor DW has the AF from hell (did Clomid do that to anyone else?) so while I need to be gearing up to start school I think I am going to be in bed.  I really wish I wasnt so cheap and would spring for grocery delivery this week lol.  If we are feeling better we are going to see Girl with the Dragon Tattoo on Sunday with our girls.
We had three BFN in the Fall of 2011. It is back on to some baby making come June. Swim little fellas, SWIM!!!!

I hope S enjoys it! I tend to, too (though two toddlers can be exhausting). I always let everything pile up while S is out of town, then spend the night before her return frantically trying to get the house back into shape. Stick out tongue

  • T-9 days until the movers get here, and 5 days until we take the "put the house on the market" photos.  So our plans are pretty much the same for the next 5 days: pack, clean, repeat.

Friday: We got a bunch done in the basement last night.  Went grocery shopping so we don't starve to death while packing.

Saturday: More of the same.  We go on a lunch date at the same restaurant every Saturday, and today will be our second to last one.  I'm starting to get very nostalgic.  Then we'll drive to Goodwill for donations, and maybe Play it Again Sports to sell some extra sports equipment.

Sunday: Aaaaaand same.  Hopefully we'll go to the movies or rent something.  And I feel like I really need to "study up" for this sperm donor dinner!
