Despite the discomfort and anxiety, I'm kind of enjoying being overdue. Nobody expects me to do anything productive, either at home or for work. If I want to lay on the couch all afternoon reading a romance novel, I totally can (and did, yesterday).

I feel like I'm on holiday, and am totally cool with that. I know things are going to be really hard after baby comes, so taking some time for myself right now is just awesome.

I am tired of talking about being pregnant. I love being pregnant, but it feels like now that I'm at the end, it's the only thing anyone wants to talk about and wants to give their opinion on. I am a current events junkie and huge college football fan and would LOVE to be discussing politics, entertainment news, or the upcoming National Championship game, but every time I change the subject, it always comes back to the same old thing and I'm bored.

I hate it when someone is pregnant and all they ever post about on Facebook is about their pregnancy. This site is different as it is about babies and pregnancy. It is so annoying to see a status 2-3 times a day about how tired you are and how big you feel and what someone said to you today. It is so "look at me, look at me!". Very irritating.

Also FB related: It is so annoying when MILs (not just mine) are the first to comment on any Facebook status posted by their DIL. I do not like being friends with my ILs on Facebook. I feel like I need to censor myself all the time. Now DH's grandma is on Facebook! Is nothing sacred anymore!!!! Lol.

My MIL takes anything I post that is baby-related and reposts it as her own. For example, since I have been on bed rest for 4 weeks now, I posted a picture of my bump last week because some of my work friends had been asking how big I was getting. Within 12 hours she had reposted it as her own saying something like, "Look at my DIL and my grandbaby!" I am a pretty private person and don't have a million random people as FB friends so only people I wanted to see that picture would have seen it until she decided to repost it to her creepy friends, neighbors, and coworkers. I mean, I know she is excited, but it's just a picture of me. And the only people who responded were her family members, who already had responded to the picture when I posted it!

My mom does this with anything I post DS related (including pictures and videos) My one aunt was doing it too for a while... finally I had to ask them to stop because I didn't know all of their friends and I wanted to keep my posts private, hence my highest security settings. My aunt never responded, but stopped and my mom was annoyed, but stopped or at least asks permission first. I felt bad, I know they were just proud/excited or whatever, but it was super annoying.

Anywho... That would annoy me. MILs should not be on Facebook. They try and live vicariously through us and try and be hip. Not okay. Love my MIL but back off.

I think it is selfish to induced for non-medical reasons. I am yet to hear one reason that seems sufficient. I know having an unscheduled birth can be gloriously inconvenient but your child?s health should come first. Plus it will not be the last time that having a kid or kids will make things hard. Might as well go ahead and except that there are things you can?t or should not control.

I think some women put too much emphasis on what their "numbers" or "stats" are (cm dialiated, % effaced, station). Those numbers don't mean anything until you actually go into labor!!!! You can walk around at 3cm and 70% for days or weeks before labor starts or you could be closed up tight and deliver w/in 24 hours. Quit obsessing over something you have no control over and doesn't mean anything! All you're doing is setting yourself up for disappointment. Your baby will come when he/she is ready.

You can flame me if you want but that's the way I feel.

I think my late diagnosis of GD is complete BS! I still haven't been following the diet and my numbers are fine everytime I test! I don't care that I have it, since baby is growing fine (in the 40th %) and I'm not gaining insane amounts of weight, I've even lost 3lbs BEFORE I was diagnosed! I feel sorry for people who really do have GD because I'm getting fused over when I don't think anything is wrong!

I refuse to friend anyone on facebook that I feel I may need to censor myself with and I explain this to family members (especially the in-laws). I just tell them my FB is not family appropriate and blame it on my friends (or DH's friends) and no one has ever protested. I have an Aunt and my ex step-dad and my brothers and sister but that's it for family. It's too annoying to categorize people and pick who can see what post so I just tell them no. Devil
