Hi Girls, sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've received different answers with different pregnancy books. I'm due 4/30, so is it proper for me to say I'm six months pregnant? By this calculation, I would say I'm 9 months in April? Some go by calendar year and some don't. I'm confused! TIA
Re: Confused on months?
Yes!
22-26 wks is 6 months
27-30 wks is 7 months
31-35 wks is 8 months
36-40 wks is 9 months
There's a chart out here somewhere that breaks it down - SO confusing!
Thank you! This is helpful:)
Here is another way I read it explained. I am due 4/17. So on 3/17 I'll be 8 mos. along. 2/17, I'll be 7 mos. and 1/17 I'll be 6 mos.
I use this website, I just put in my due date and it tells me how far along I am.

in weeks I say how many along I am according to the ticker (26 weeks)
in months I count back. So i am due April 10th, by now I would say I am 6 months pregnant (though reall I won't be actually 6months until January 10th)
but some people count 4 weeks = 1 month and would say they were 6 months pregnant at 24 weeks (which I would say is 5 1/2 months)
actually did you all know that pregnancy is really 10 months long. the first 2 weeks are factored in, because they count from the first day of your last period to the point of ovulation so you really get a "free" 2 weeks. which makes sense as to why they let you go over 2 weeks. if you are 40 weeks pregnant that really equals 10 months. 40 divided by 4 is 10, not 9. most people don't even know that. but just thought i'd throw it out there, it's part of the reason why counting can be tricky.
for example: my last period was 08/04 and my date of conception was most likely 08/18 (give or take, but i'm pretty sure) so really at the point of conception you are already considered 2 weeks pregnant, although you really just became pregnant, lol.
