I'm a FTM, and I am really at a loss of where to start. I've been doing some research, but I'm wondering if there is anywhere out there is cyberspace that gives reviews, recommendations, recall info, and such on all the equipment we need? Just searching Babies R Us seemed like we are only going to get opinions on those. Consumer Reports makes you pay for a subscription. Anyone know a good place to start?
Re: can we talk cribs, strollers, and other equipment?
Buy this:

I've had Lucie's List recommended to me as a 'survival guide for new moms'. It has product suggestions for every price point as well as what you actually need and what you don't. It does recognize that each baby/mom is different as well and will let you know if other mom's have supported a product.
I'm a FTM as well, but have totally found it to be my go-to for information thus far.
DH and I used this a lot: https://www.babygizmo.com/
I'm a FTM and bought this book and it's very helpful. I had no idea where to start and it gives you a lot of information you'd never realize or think of yourself.
I agree with this. I swore by it with my first pregnancy and recently bought the updated version (on Kindle) for this one.
Better yet, get it from the library. I only needed it for as long as I researched and registered. The book gets updated every year or so.
Thanks for sharing this... I've literally spent hours looking at this site.
