Had our baseline apt today! (and a dose ? )

So excited!! No cysts and thin lining. They didn't draw any labs though.. I asked and he told me that since there were no left over "follicles" that E2 wasn't needed until the next apt. They gave me my pen I needed and had to sign the "You're taking FSH meds! You could have HOM or OHSS. " paper. I didn't realize that twins happened in 20% of the pregnancies (according to my sheet).

I got back Tuesday for U/S and bloodwork. And I start my follistim tomorrow night!!

I'm taking 100iu.. Does that seem high to anyone else? I was expecting 66 or 75 for some reason. What dose of Follistim (or equivalent) did you start on?

5mg of Femara gave me 3 mature follicles on cd 9 this last cycle.

My RE based my starting dose not on my Clomid response but on my antral follicle count, which was high. So I started with 25IU daily.

But the actual recommended starting dose is 150IU. So you're still on a fairly mild dose.

During my inject IUI I took 100IU Follistim for 7 days - it gave me 4 mature follies at trigger. Since you have MFI - I think that is the reasoning for your starting dose.

Depends on your dx, etc. I always start at 50. I am now up to 150.

I started at 75, but ended up with only one follie in the lead so we had to trigger while the others were still small. You know how an MFI girl feels about one follie!

I think 100 is fine. Good luck hun!

So glad things went well! As for the dosage, it sounds right to me. I responded great with clomid and femara. When I was put on Bravelle, it was 150iu right away.

I started with Gonal-F so I never took Clomid. I also have a high AFC. So I started at 75 for a few days then went up to 112.5. That gave me 1 folicle.

2nd cycle was 112.5 the whole time and that gave me 2 follies, a BFP, and a c/p

3rd cycle was 150 and i overstimmed (13 follies) so I got cancelled.

This cycle was 112.5 for a few days, then 150 for a few, and then 75 for 1 night. I got 4 follies this time. Still waiting the results on this one
