moving to Scotland, snacks for trip to help sickness?

Getting ready to move to Scotland on Sunday.  We are in Ontario now and are moving to St. Monans Scotland (in Fife).  I will be exactly 7 weeks when we fly.  Not looking forward to the travelling but it will be good to arrive and be assigned a doctor finally.

I don't have bad sickness but it is there if I don't keep something in my stomach.  I am going to bring crackers with me for the flight.  Are there any other good snacks to bring that may help keep me from getting sick on the plane?

  • Don't forget to buy your own bottle of water after you get through security.  I flew at 9 weeks transatlantic over Christmas holidays and was so thirsty the whole flight...not sure about snacks--is your flight overnight (most are to Europe)--you will probably sleep through most of it if so.

  • Try PSI Bands, you wear them on your wrist and they ease sickness. (morning, motion...etc)

  • When I travel I make a big bag of my own chex or trail mix.  I just buy a jar of peanuts, m&m's, raisins, chex mix, pretzels.  Throw it all in a big gallon size zip lock and it will last a long time.  I always make a lot because DH will snack on it, too!

  • Thanks for the ideas, I think I will add trail mix to my supply and I will make sure to get lots of water.
