It's 3 in the morning and I'm craving Pineapple upside down cake. I figure if I post it on facebook people will start guessing... So the Bump it is! Definitely a pregnancy craving... I've never really cared for Pineapple upside down cake.
While that's true(ish), I think that she would have to eat a lot more pineapple than what's in pineapple upside down cake. Aren't there just a few slices on the cake? And unless she's eating the whole cake, she's only eating a small amount. Very small amount.
Talk to your Dr most say: Pineapple, papaya and sesame seeds should be avoided during pregnancy. May cause miscarriage.
Whoa, I've never seen this. Booooo.
Edit: I just looked it up on Mayo Clinic, one of the most trusted medical centers in the world and they okay pineapple. After calling my doctor about my concern, he gave me the okay.

These fruits may cause uterine contractions which may lead to
miscarriage. I think pregnant women should stay away from these fruits.

It's great that you think so, but no need to unnecessarily freak people out. I looked it up. All the sites I found said a woman would have to eat a lot, like seven pineapples, before there could maybe possibly be a problem.
I remember something about this from the 3rd tri boards when I was pg with DD, but I thought you were suppose to eat the core of the pineapple. I say if it sounds good eat it. Just don't eat 15 of them at once.

LOL! Love the debate that a pineapple upside down cake comment started! I'm pretty sure that it's the core of the pineapple and it's unripe papaya and mango. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to make a cake today. It still sounds good.
I was late with my first (41w4d) and at 40 weeks I seriously sat down and ate three entire pineapples, they were yummy but I didn't go in to labor and had to be induced a week and a half later. Not saying that other people might not have a different reaction but my conclusion is that pineapple does not equal labor.

I worry about a lot and didn't think this was bad...I bought the small container of cut pineapple at Walmart and it was delicious

You should always avoid fresh pre-cut fruits and vegetables (eat well-washed whole fruit and vegetables and cooked produce) I?d say that erring on the side of caution is always worthwhile
especially when it comes to pregnancy. Pineapple is delicious and
nutritious but is certainly something that can be avoided for nine
months.
