We had a baby store go out of business and I picked one up for $30 for baby #2. I had done some research on it, but wanted to know what you guys thought.
I loved mine, I was able to carry both girls in it. LOVE it and great price!

I word DD in it a lot while I was home on maternity leave. The only thing I didn't love about it was that it's not so great in hot weather. Mine was bamboo and light-colored, but it was still too much to wear it on hot days (80+ degrees). DD was born in mid-June and we don't have AC, so there were some days when I just couldn't use it.
My DH also loved it and we would often fight about who would wear DD when we went out. : )
it didn't work great for my little porker. He got too heavy for it really quickly..and its too hot for summer use (he was born in July). so...I wished that I had a light weight woven wrap, and will likely get one for next time. That being said, I didn't find it that tough to use and i loved how secure he was in it. I woudl wrap myself up before going tothe store and then just pop him into it when we arrived at our destination
From what I can tell, you either love it or hate it. For me, it had too steep a learning curve. When I was going to wear a baby, it was because they were fussing. I didn't want to spend 5+ minutes trying to figure out how to wrap all this material around me! My recommendation is to start practicing will it now so when you have a baby, you can put it on easily. I wound up selling mine and getting a Baby K'tan instead (similar concept, but more structure).

I tried the Moby and more other wraps than I care to admit - and just never could find one that I felt comfortable in. 100% user error, I'm sure (couldn't get the baby feeling secure) - but still. I almost always used and continue to use my ergo.
Still, that's a great price, might as well give it a try!
Loved the flexibility of so many holds from just one product. It grows with a child nicely in my opinion.
I wore Dylan in a hip and back hold when he was 15 months old and I was 8 months pregnant with Jace.
What I don't like about it is the damned tying process and length of it.
I had to put it on before I left the house because I wasn't gonna drag the ends in a parking lot once I got where I was going.
Along those lines it's bulkier than other carriers.
I think there are better carriers but ours worked great for us and I was SO glad to have it with #2 so I could wear him constantly and keep my arms free to tend to the toddler.
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
I have one and it was just "eh" for us.. For $30 you might as well give it a shot. Like PPers mentioned, it's too hot to wear in warm weather. Putting it on is also ridiculous. I had to watch You Tube videos to figure it out and it still never felt that secure to me. DD didn't really care for it either. She didn't like to be worn in the infant holds. We probably used it a dozen times at most before I packed it away.
She likes to be front carried facing outward (so she can look around) so when she was old enough to hold her head up, we exclusively used our Baby Bjorn. (which I hated b/c it killed my back)
We now mostly use our Ergo with her in the back carry. She loves it.
After 5 years of TTC, 3 IUIs, 5 IVFs, 2 FETs, multiple losses and an adoption that wasn
didn't love it. too much fabric to work with. makes it a hassle to put on quickly. we went with the baby k'tan carrier instead because you don't have to wrap it and we love that one.
It was awesome for the first 6 months or so. I could wrap her up and walk around the house with her in it. She slept great in it too. After about 6 months the Ergo was more practical.
Maybe I'm just impatient, but the Moby drive me nuts. The fabric I swear is like 30 feet long! I found it a huge PIA just to put on at home; I couldn't imagine attempting it out in public. Someone would probably have videotaped the whole fiasco and put it on YouTube.
A great alternative for Moby haters is the Baby K'Tan. It's more expensive, but worth it because it's a LOT more user-friendly.
I guess I am a weirdo but I love the moby, it was never hard for me to get it on and I wore it everyday in 100+ degree weather with my July baby. I would go for coffee, sit on the patio in easily 90 degrees and chit chat with my friends for hours while DS would sleep.
DS is almost 6 mos and 20lbs now and I still use it and he loves it. I love that he can be forward facing and he loves that he can be forward facing. I got an ergo on babysteals for a good deal and he just started to like that, but prefers the moby because he can face outward. He fusses more in the ergo. I also feel like the moby is way way more secure than the ergo.
I think it's just personal preference, but I am so glad that I got a moby and plan to keep using it for a long while yet since the weight limit is 45lbs.

I loved mine. Used it with both kiddos. Trig wasn't walking by the time Grayson was born and it was easy to carry Grayson in the moby and Trig on my hip. Totally recommend!
