Hi ladies! I just discovered this board and was wondering if anyone is stationed at Fort Drum? I'm 31 weeks and due March 5th. I haven't met very many people up here and would love to get to know some Drum soon to be mamas!
We just PCS'd from Drum a year ago!! We absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend getting involved with your FRG. If they aren't as active, then ask if they can star doing ladies' nights or fun activities with LOs. Which unit are you guys with? The arts and Crafts center is right by the bowling alley and is awesome. I painted pottery there, and would loved to have done more, but only found it right before our move.
If you enjoy exercising or running, they have a great running club in the area. If you are religious, I know a bunch of people involved with PWOC on post. I never got involved myself, but the ladies I know have met quite a few people through it. I also recommend taking AFTB through ACS if you haven't already. It's a great way to meet some people. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions! I have tons of info about the area. I don't frequent this board, but you can always page me on Aug. 11.

Hi. My husband has been stationed at Drum for almost 2 years. You'll either love it or hate it. My advice is get involved. Whether it be your FRG, fitness classes, if you're religious there are many things going on at the chapel, volunteer (I volunteer at the USO and it's a lot of fun. If you are religious PWOC is a great way to meet other women/moms. I've met so many amazing ladies through PWOC. Let me know if you have any other questions I'd be happy to help!
