XP: getting your period...

I just got my period today... ugh!  So for moms who are BF, does it affect your supply at all?  DD was acting ravenous today, so I'm wondering if it's connected.  Also, are you back to using tampons?  And finally, is your period as regular as it was before?  TIA!

    I didn't get my period until 7 months PP but didn't notice much change in DD nursing (she was still nursing every 3 hours). I would notice slight decrease in output when pumping though but it would go back to normal once my period was done. Just make sure you stay well hydrated. Maybe she is going through a grow spurt as well?

    I felt like it affected my supply for a few days, but I also doubted my supply constantly back then (I got it when DS was just about 5 months old), so it could have been my imagination.

    My period went back to normal right away but I know it's common that it doesn't.

    Also, one year later, I STILL cannot use tampons. :(

    DS (7 years old) from FET in 2010
    DD (5 years old) from IUI in 2012
    TTC 3rd and final!: IUI #1 in progress!

    my supply decreases when I ovulate, not when I get my period.
