Remind me how/where to get something notorized?

I have a legal form I need to get notorized. My best guess is a bank but will they still do it if you're not a customer? We use USAA.

If you're one and available tomorrow, that'd be super cool.

stacy @nicemonkeys dot com if you want to shoot me a line on the down low.

  • I know banks do it, but dunno if they will for a non-customer.

I think all of the HEBs do it.

  • Last time I needed something notarized I was able to get a notary though DH's company. I don't remember where your DH works but if it's a big company they might have notaries on hand.

  • I always get stuff notarized at work. Maybe someone at your hospital is a notary? You could ask around admin or billing.

  • Most of the UPS stores will have a notary on site, too.  They do charge though (maybe $10?).

I work nights. Nobody that isn't a nurse/tech/doctor is there from 7pm to 7am!! I don't work again until Sunday night anyway and I ain't going there if I don't have to. I guess I'll check HEB out.

  • Most banks and lawyers offices have a notary.  If you're not a member they usually charge an extra fee.

Haha, I didn't realize you worked nights, definitley won't be any admin types around at those hours!

  • I'm more of a lurker, but I'm a notary! What part of town are you in? I'm north, near Lakeline Mall.

ETA: Sorry, I just realized you need someone for tomorrow. I won't be able to tomorrow :(

  • United Heritage Credit Union (right by Academy) does. We're a member, but last time I went in there they didn't even check and just had someone do it for me. It was really easy...might be worth a shot before paying for it!

This, but they charge $5+tax per page.
We spent a small fortune getting our closing papers notorized in VA Tongue Tied

  • Call HEB first, I know ours does not provide notary services. Pretty much all of the packaging/mailing places do though, and all banks.

Yeah - I remember when we sold our first place in Houston that we shelled out a pretty penny signing our closing documents.
