My husband and I are TTC. I miscarried at the end of October at about five weeks. That was the first month off the pill and the dr said it was totally normal. However when I took the tests that time (I took the first reaponse tests) both lines weren't super dark. I am about five days late and I took a test this morning and got a positive reading but again both lines weren't super dark. I don't know what to do I don't want to go to the doctor only to lose it again. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.
Re: Pregnant after miscarriage
I'm sorry about your previous loss. I had a m/c in March and it can definitely screw with your mind. FWIW, I used the FRER this time around, too, and my lines were also very faint. If you wanted, you could wait a couple of days and test again; if it's still positive call your doc then.
After my previous m/c, my OB did some blood work to check my HCG levels after I called to tell them I was pregnant. She also had me come in at 6 weeks for an early ultrasound. She knew I'd be super nervous & wanted to put my mind at ease. It did ease my mind to see that tiny heart beat (if only for a few days). Maybe call your doc & see if they could check your levels? That would probably be more accurate than making guesses based on the darkness of the test lines.
I'm so sorry for your previous loss. I agree with the pp that your doctor might be willing to bring you in for some blood tests to help ease your mind given you history. Otherwise, I'll say that with both of my pregnancies the lines on the early tests I took were extremely faint. Also, with both pregnancies I also took the tests with the yes/no or smiley face to help confirm if I thought I had a positive, and they were right both times
These seemed more definite to me and made me feel more assured.
Good luck, and keep us updated!
