Had a miscarriage last month..

and I'm not sure if I have had a period or not but my dh and I have not been using protection or anything. How soon/is it possible to get pregnant again so quickly?

On the off chance that this is a real post... My first ovulation was only 3 days after I stopped bleeding and I had my first period 9 days later. So theoretically you can get pregnant right away but most OBs will tell you that you should wait a couple cycles to let your body heal.

If you prefer, you can just try taking a home pregnancy test, or calling your OB.

On another note, how can you not know if you've had a period or not? Just curious.

How do you not know if you've had a period? Um, yeah, they're pretty hard to miss. Also, were you cleared to start trying to quickly?

Please get in your car and drive to the nearest pharmacy. Buy a Home Pregnancy Test and pee on it. If it's positive, go to PgAL. If it's negative, read https://ttcalblog.blogspot.com/p/for-newbies_22.html first then come back

And it can take some woman many many many weeks until their period. You'll also find that information on the blog.

And if this is a real post, I second what all of the ladies previously said. Take a pg test and I too am a bit confused as to how you aren't sure if you had your period. Have you been continuously spotting after the m/c? And if you haven't stopped bleeding, definitely call your dr! (and definitely read the blog about this board).

I am gonna take a stab at this and guess that you know what a period is. So are you trying to ask if you would count the day of your d&c as day 1 of your cycle?

Also, I would really suggest following your doctor's orders on whether you should wait to ttc. I know most doctors will tell you no sex for at least 2 weeks post d&c. You should call yours to see how long they suggest waiting before you ttc again.

I used to feel bad, wondering if maybe the posters were just majorly behind the fertility learning curve, and that may be true for some, but, in the long run, people need to learn about their bodies. And I don't mean by using internet strangers as their personal google, ask jeeves, or HPT.

UHH...THIS! I don't understand how you don't know if you have had a period. You either are bleeding from your vagina or you aren't. And did your doctor give you the okay to have sex/start trying to conceive again? If not I honestly wouldn't advise you trying again so soon. GL with everything!

OP, first of all, I am sorry for your loss, but you need to POAS. If you are ovulating, and have unprotected sex within your fertile window, then yes you could get/be pregnant.

And, in the future, this board isn't google....try an intro, some lurking and some support to others first.
