Movement & Labor Pain

Throughout my pregnancy, I haven't felt movement.  I occassionally feel hiccups.  My doctor knows this and they've done the monitor, but I just do not feel anything.  It's been the toughest part of my pregnancy, but I've accepted it's my norm.

Just wondering if anyone else also has this issue?  Also wondering what will this mean relative to feeling contractions and labor pain (the birth story today made me wonder about this since she progressed so quickly and I tend to look for things to worry about!).

  • That was me and DD and trust me I had back labor and I felt every single contraction and they hurt like hell

  • Baby movement isn't = to contraction pain, feeling wise.  My guess is that you have a laid-back baby and an anterior placenta that blocks any movement your LO does make.  I felt very little with DS.  You will feel the contractions because those won't be blocked by anything.  Try not to worry!

This. And maybe your baby moves a lot at night, and you just don't feel it.
