Although many would like to leave 2011 behind, what was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? I started a new new job that allows me to work from home.
Aside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? I wish to be clutter free - mentally, physically, emotionally and financially.

Life didn't work out the way I planned so I did it on my own.

Although many would like to leave 2011 behind, what was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? I had to think hard about this -- really glad to be done with 2011. I think the best thing was deepening/improving my relationship with DH. We've been married 2.5 years; our first 1.5 years or so were stressful -- we did a large-scale apartment renovation (among other things) that really distracted us. This year we've had more time to enjoy each other.
Aside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? I want to find a satisfying but more lifestyle-friendly job (I'm a lawyer).

TTC history and where I'm at now- had natural unplanned pg in my early 20s. My son is now 19. Married at age 40 and tried on our own for one year. Started 5 IVF cycles in 2011-transferred 5 good embryos. Survived one c/p. No more insurance for IVF and unwilling to sacrifice our retirement savings for OOP IVF. Was planning to just try on our own for one more year......considering phone consult with RE that specializes in DOR, whose focus is not IVF for everyone. Been very interested in mini-IVF concept for past 6 months, which focuses on 1-2 good eggs each month. Know we won't be doing any more IVF though. Trying to reclaim our lives that has been held hostage by IF. Cannot afford DE even if sharing a cycle with another couple-trying to put my son through college.
Best thing that happened to me in 2011-vacationed for 2 weeks in California with DH and DS. Cannot wait to return.....really want to spend more time in San Francisco.
Wish for 2012-loose weight....gained just over 15 lbs while going through IVF.

Aside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? To lose a little of the weight I have gained while TTC (Thank you Stress and Sorrow!)

The hubby and I are starting to talk about trying for a second one, so I wanted to get back here since it was so helpful the first time around. Had two miscarriages the first time around...so expecting this to be a process.

I was given the blessing of having a healthy family and being healthy myselfAside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? I wish to be more organized, more on top of things, dedicate more time to my business and be the best mom I can be!

TTC History and where you are now: Happy mother of one, DS (2yo). TTC #2 since Jul 2011. Got BFP Aug 2011, but m/c Oct 12 (at 11wks). Currently TTA on dr orders due to extremely long post m/c cycle. Think I just o'd for cycle 2, so maybe we'll be cleared to TTC for next cycle.
Although many would like to leave 2011 behind, what was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? Had very successful year at work, started with a new team Nov 2010 and our team had the best year ever (fiscal 2011 ran from Nov 1- Oct 31). My new boss loves me and treats me really well. Also, DH won a trip to cuba that we took in Mar and it was awesome!
Aside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? To continue to make progress in payind down our debt and to refinance our mortgage at a good rate when it comes due in the fall.

Although many would like to leave 2011 behind, what was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? This a tough one. I really can't think of any "good" that happened. I'd have to go with that no one died and financially we are OK. I know I have lots of blessings and don't want to complain.
Aside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? As many of you, I need to lose the TTC weight. It is really bad at this point and I feel horrible in my own skin. I'd love to find some enjoyment at my job too. It's a tough one but pays well in a state that has very high unemployment so I'm sort of stuck. I don't like it most days though.

Although many would like to leave 2011 behind, what was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? We had a great vacation in San Francisco/Carmel in July.
Aside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? Pay off debt....that's a tough one since we will likely accrue a ton of debt w/ IVF.

TTC History and where you are now: In Feb 2012 we will have been TTC our first for 3 years. I've been pregnant, ever so briefly, twice in that time, both ending in early miscarriages at 5 to 6 weeks. It has been a year and a half since my last pregnancy. Have been seeing RE since April 2010. Now on stims and trigger with TI. Hoping that this second cycle of stims does the trick. If it doesn't, I may have one more cycle in me. I don't think we will go with IVF, but I didn't think I'd do stims either. Adoption is a definite option for growing our family.
Although many would like to leave 2011 behind, what was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? Promotion with pay increase and we adopted two sweet little kitties from the shelter. They are my babies and I love them.
Aside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? I hope to find my older brother who was placed with an adoptive family before I was born. Long story, but we are full biological siblings and I didn't know he existed until a few months ago.

TTC History and where you are now: TTC on our own for 6 months before starting to see RE 11/11. 12/11 HSC to remove uterine septum (attempted HSG at same time but uterus was cramping and couldn't get dye in). SA= above average. 1 cycle of clomid, HCG shot, TI= BFN. Just finished 2nd cycle of clomid. HSG scheduled for 1/3/12- not looking forward to it.

Where do you currently live: Pittsburgh, PA
Age: 41 (but turn 42 in two weeks)
TTC History and where you are now: 1st IUI=BFP, but CP, 2 more failed IUI's, RE will do a 4th if we want, but gives it less than 10% chance of working and refuses to do IVF with my OE. Feel like we're wasting time and money to get a 2nd opinion. Offered IVF with DE and our plan if we're not somehow magically pg from this last cycle trying naturally is to move forward with that option.
Although many would like to leave 2011 behind, what was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? DH got a new job that got him out of his old one at the "soul-sucking-pit-of-despair". We got to travel to a fancy golf/spa resort thanks to a GC we got for our wedding and to D.C. for my family's reunion. I got to go to the beach with my family. I finally was able to pay off my debt (credit card and car payment not house), but sadly it was because my grandmother passed away and left me money.
Aside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? To work on being calmer. To work on getting strong physically and mentally.

Although many would like to leave 2011 behind, what was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? I was offered a job that I ultimately ended up declining. It gave me a renewed appreciation for my salary, leave time and flexibility at my current job.
Aside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? That everyone in my family remains in stable health.

Hoping to start my IVF meds this Saturday as planned but freaking out a bit since I have been unable to get a hold of the company to make the payment and to ship the drugs. They are closed for the Holiday so will be making a frantic call tomorrow morning. This will probably be our one and only try at IVF and just not sure DE is in the cards for us because of finances so am hoping and praying this works.
Although many would like to leave 2011 behind, what was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? So so glad to see 2011 ending! Am also hard pressed to find any bright spots in 2011 but I guess I can say I have my health minus my crappy eggs! Wow...that came out bad!
Aside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? To find something other than TTC that I can focus on when this is over. It will be over very soon one way or the other for us since my DH will have to go back on his meds and we will again be w/o sperm.

TTC 10/11. IUI 2/12. BFP 3/8/12. 4/26/12 missed mc. RE consult 5/17/12. IVF #1 ER 7/13/12 53R, 41M ICSIed, 32F, 8 5d, 6 6d blasts - all PGD/frozen. PGD results 1 normal M and 1 normal F, 1 maybe M. FET 9/6, transferred 1 F embie. Beta 9/15 BFN. FET#2 planned for 11/2012 put off until 2013. Surprise BFP 11/21/12!! My son was born on 7/24/13!

TTC History and where you are now: In the 2WW for cycle 5. DH has his annual checkup in December and tested as Low T but the confrimation test put him on the low end of normal. No other testing yet.
Although many would like to leave 2011 behind, what was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? Got married in April - first time for me , second for DH.
Aside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? To laugh and be as happy as possible and to sail as much as I can this summer (I race on an all-woman crew on a 41 foot boat on Lake Michigan). We will figure out how to do it even if I am preganant!

TTC History and where you are now: Proud mom of a 2 year old DS. During my pregnancy with him, we learned of a genetic anomaly which puts us at much greater risk (above and beyond my age) of 1st trimester miscarriage (but no higher risk of birth defects). We started TTC #2 in September. Got pregnant in November and miscarried at 7w5d in December. Cleared to try again. Currently in 2WW, but I broke down and POAS, and it looks like I am probably out for this cycle. Waiting on AF.
Although many would like to leave 2011 behind, what was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? Love from my family. I feel very blessed in that regard.
Aside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? end the procrastination and simplify.

TTC history and where you are now: TTC attempt #1 stopped before it really even started in 2000 due to endo, TTC attempt #2 around 2005 stopped after a few months due to bladder cancer and endo. Current attempt started in Oct. 2010. Really I am grateful that we have been able to try for over a year without a major medical problem. I was finally able to do IUI #1 on Dec. 28, so almost half way through the 2ww.
Best thing from 2011: I stayed healthy throughout the entire year with no broken bones or surgeries (which is a rare occurence for me). TTC has brought DH and I even closer.
One wish for 2012: I would like to be more accepting of things in all aspects of my life: work, family, etc.

TTC History and where you are now: Married in Oct of 2011. Started trying in November due to my age and the fact that we want 2 kids. Cycle #1 - BFN, Cycle #2 - ovulation confirmed through charting BBT but BFP (didn't try much since we were both sick, though) Cycle #3 just started, I'm currently on Day 5, just waiting for the fertile window.
Although many would like to leave 2011 behind, what was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? Engaged in February, married in October, and the day I took my last BCP. I loved 2011 - it was my best year so far. I look forward to what 2012 holds for us, hopefully a pregnancy and baby (or pregnancy in 2012 and baby in 2013!)
Aside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? We are working toward paying off credit card and other debt and saving for a down payment on the house we are currently renting. We love the location and the house itself, and the owners locked the price in for two years about a year ago. We want to buy the house as a gift to each other next Christmas!

TTC History and where you are now: TTC since Feb 2011. 1 BFP naturally in Aug that ended in m/c. Currently in the 2nd month of Clomid. If it's not successful, we move onto IUI with injectables, and then, IVF.

Aside from getting pregnant, what is your one wish for 2012? I wish there would be a miracle cure for my father in law's pancreatic cancer.
