Anyone else still hesitant to tell?

We had our first appt today but it was just a meeting with the nurse. DH asked when I was going to let him announce on FB. I still feel like I want to hear a heartbeat though deep down I know that everything is fine. Anyone else still feeling hesitant when all feels fine? Am I being too paranoid?

I had my second ultrasound and heard the hb yesterday and I am still paranoid! Doctor said everything looks great too! We told close family and few friends but that is it. I dont plan on telling facebook until we know the sex! So I am more paranoid than you

I am being selective with who I tell.. I wish I didn't spill the beans yet- as ppl have just been rude.. Its our # 4th.. so expected.

No, you're not being paranoid at all. It's your decision to tell when you and your DH feel ready. I honestly don't think I will formally announce anything on fb, but if people ask I will openly tell them at around 14-15 wks. GL to you!!

I have only told VERY close friends (not even family yet). We have the first ultrasound on Monday, so we'll see how I feel after that. We definitely plan to tell family after that, but I'm tempted to just let other people find out on their own.

I refuse to tell anyone til I'm out of the 1st tri, and even then, it'll only be immediate family. Everyone else...well, we'll see who's brave enough to ask if I'm KU or just getting fat.

I was so excited to tell right away and I was glad my hubby was realistic to just wait a bit....then I got used to keeping the secret. We told a few close friends and then our family at Christmas. It is slowly leaking out to more...I told my boss and a few other coworkers but I am too hesitant about the rest of work and of course facebook ( FUNNY that we even have to THINK about when we should post it if we are going to.. haha)

I saw a heartbeat with my husband on Monday and even the doc said seeing that and no bleeding/spotting...is a good sign. I guess I will know when the time is right for 'public' to know And thats OK!

I was really hesitant to tell. We've told a small number of people now, but we haven't made the big FB announcement. I'm ready for it seeing as we heard the heartbeat yesterday and so far my pregnancy is perfect. DH is still nervous though and hasn't given me the green light yet.

We announced today! lol It was a hard decision when to say something. My husband wanted to tell everyone right away, I wanted to wait till we were "out of the woods." We decided that we would tell after the NT scan so we knew better what was going to happen. Good luck!

We had our 12 week u/s and know that everything looks good, but I am still afraid to make the announcement. I have only told my immediate family and a few close friends.I have not said anything at work yet, but I don't know how much longer I can hide it. We aren't going to announce on FB after we know the sex.

We are waiting as well... I want to tell our parents after our first Dr. appt on the 18th, but my hubby still wants to wait longer after that!! It's been killing me not telling my mom, I think she'll be upset that we knew for so long, but I've got a cute surprise way to tell her

I too had my first appointment today. Just genetics, lots & lots of paperwork. We have u/s on 1/26 and I don't plan to tell until Valentines day. I have only told a very limited few. Lucky for us, most of our family is out of State, so I can avoid the issue and not have to lie face to face (since they know we've been trying). I don't think it's being paranoid, I think it's being anxious and excited. I think this is normal! Good luck with your secret!

Still hesitant to tell the world. although we are dying to!! I think we will wait until after the 10th which is our u/s .. so i think we all have a right to tell non immediate fam n stuff. God forbid something happen and i think it would feel worse to break bad news to the world. lets keeps spirits high ladies:)

I am. I haven't even told my mom yet. I was supposed to have an u/s Wednesday, but the tech was out so now it's next Tues instead. I think I might feel more comfortale telling after that, but only immediate family. I am not one to do a big FB announcement ever. I probably will wait a little longer to tell work, too.

That's quite early to hear the HB. With my first they were able to find it at 10.5 weeks, but they were surprised they could find it that early. Normally it's around 12 wks.

I have told a few people but we haven't told our families yet.. I had a MC at 9 weeks last year---so I am very paranoid... It's your choice to tell when you want... W/ my first PG we shared at 8 weeks...

My hubby was very hesitant to tell and when he told me he just wanted the ultrasound photo before we told anyone it made sense. Having a photo to connect the dots sometimes avoids the "no way" reaction from friends and family. I however asked the nurse at my first appointment (yesterday) if it would be a good idea to tell friends and family and she said "thats up to you". Once we got the confirmation I couldn't hold it in, and my hubby caved too. But if your still uncomfortable about shouting it from the rooftops then I would suggest waiting until you hear that little heartbeat and you get that black and white pic. Your the one growing the little bundle, make the hubby wait. It's only a couple more weeks anyway

I don't think your being paranoid. We still haven't announced to anyone besides siblings and parents/grandparents. We will announce next weekend though. My dr. advised after our NT scan(which was Wednesday), it would be safe to tell, but I still would rather wait 2 more weeks. It's really totally up to you.

I don't think it's paranoid at all to wait until you see/hear a h/b. There's no way I'd put anything on FB until then. Personally, I prefer to wait until I'm past the 12 week mark.
